BIRTH DATE 25 September 1986 – Age 25
DHL Stormers Vodacom Super Rugby – 2008
Hooker
Deon Fourie, who has explosive pace, made his Super rugby debut in 2008. Accurate at the line out, and not afraid to shirk his responsibilities on the field, he is gradually growing into a potential leader. Has been mooted by Allister Coetzee on the side of the scrum, but will probably stay at hooker, rotating with Tiaan Liebenberg for the starting spot.

Boland Cavaliers 2005
Hooker
Boland Stalwart, Lewis is an abrasive hooker, and powerful runner. Been a feature in the Cavaliers side since 2005. An honest player and hard grafter. How much game time he gets will rest upon the fitness of the other hookers, I guess.

Except for a short stint in France in 2009, Liebenberg has played for the Stormers since 2007, where he was a major cog in rejuvenating the front row when it was really struggling. Captain of Western Province 2011, he is one of the primary ball carriers for the team, with the physicality to match his opponents, is a strong scrummager, carrying the ball over the advantage line consistently. Excellent in the loose, with that permanent smile, has the ability to get right up the opponents nose. Barring injury, he share the starting spot with Fourie.

Big and strong, lived in Matfields shadow for the past few years, the big No 5, is one of South Africas best lineout forwards, and not a man to shirk his duties on the frontline. A hard man and strong ball carrier, Bekkers lineout abilities and ball poaching second only to the retired Matfield. Consistant injuries may be the biggest problem.
Rynhardt (Rocky) Elstadt

BIRTH DATE 20 December 1989 – Age 22
DHL Stormers Vodacom Super Rugby – 2011

Lock
De Kock Steenkamp’s chance came in 2009, following the departure of Chris Jack, and the injury to Springbok Andries Bekker meant that De Kock was thrust into the Vodacom WP’s side during their Currie Cup campaign. This brought about a call up to the Stormers squad for 2010. The warm up game in Wellington saw him don the captains armband, and this coupled with the next warm ups, he will be hoping to prove himself as back up to Bekker this season.

A brilliant season in 2008 Absa Currie Cup saw him get a Barbarians call up. Rassie Erasmus moved him to the wing in 2009, a move again backed by Mallet, but it is safe to say that he is back at No.8. Fly half
A product of Grey High, Coleman was given the opportunity to play last year with the injury to Peter Grant.
