The Western Province took on the Blue Bulls at Newlands in Cape Town at 17:05, local time today in the return match in the Currie Cup. Wp won the match by dominating the Blue Bulls in the scrums, specially at loose head, where Wicus Blaauw dominated the Buls tight head, Werer Kruger. Wp won 25 / 19.
We were certainly shown the importance of the number three jersey in a rugby international today!!

The Currie Cup Match between the Boland Cavaliers and the Sharks took place at Boland Park, Wellington, SA at 15:30 local time, with the Sharks winning with ease, 48 / 3.
The Board of European Rugby Cup has ratified the introduction of 23-man match day squads for the Heineken Cup and European Challenge Cup tournaments for 2009/10 season onwards. Now I know the original change did cross this blog when it happened but it is good to see two of the major competitions taking it on board.
