The Western Province took on the Blue Bulls at Newlands in Cape Town at 17:05, local time today in the return match in the Currie Cup. Wp won the match by dominating the Blue Bulls in the scrums, specially at loose head, where Wicus Blaauw dominated the Buls tight head, Werer Kruger. Wp won 25 / 19.

The Currie Cup Match between the Boland Cavaliers and the Sharks took place at Boland Park, Wellington, SA at 15:30 local time, with the Sharks winning with ease, 48 / 3.
After initially indicating that the Springboks would not call on replacements from SA, following the injury of Andries Bekker and J P Pietersen, Bokke management has decided to call on Johan Muller to strenghten the Bokke squad for their remaining two matches on the Tri-Nations Tour.

South African stars, Victor Matfield and Bryan Habana joins Matt Giteau, Stirling Mortlock and Juan Martin Hernandez as part of the squad to take on the All Blacks on 5 December 2009 at Twickenham.
It has been confirmed from the Bok-camp that winger J P Pietersen and substitute Lock Andries Bekker has sustained such serious injuries in the match between the Bokke & Wallabies, that they will both immediately return to SA.
Luke Watson said the key to Western Province’s 21-9 victory over the Sharks in Durban was his team’s ability to stamp its authority on the match in the second half.
The Springboks really silenced critics the world over but specially in New Zeeland and Australia after it was alleged the last few weeks that the Springboks play “boring rugby”.
