In an Extraordinary General Council Meeting of SARU on Monday, they unanimously approved the adoption of a new constitution and the winding up of SA Rugby (Pty) Ltd as the final step in a process to unify the professional and amateur arms of the organisation. The SWD Eagles took on the Platinum Leopards at Outeniqua Park, George in their second round Promotion / Relegation game to decide who will take part in next year’s Curry Cup Premier Division. The SWD Eagles won the game 18 / 17 but it was not enough to oust the Leopards from the Currie Cup Premier Division. The Leopards go through on points difference after both teams finished tied on the Mini Log, 6 / 6.
