The All Blacks kicked off their Northern Hemisphere Tour with a Test against Wales. The All Blacks won a generally scrappy affair which only really only came alive in the last 20 minutes. The All Blacks won 19 / 12.
The Wallabies kicked off their Northern Hemisphere Tour with a Test against England. England started well, the forwards doing the hard yards, but the Wallabies gained momentum and eventually ran out winners by 18 / 9.
Tonight saw the 1st match on Tour for the Springboks End of Year Tour 2009. The Springboks took on the Leicester Tigers at Welford Road. The Tigers were full value for their win by 22 / 17 against a lack-lustre Bokke side which was scrummed to bits and taught a lesson in forward domination.
It is good to be able to have a united SA Nation again after the division of the Currie Cup. Our blood all turn to green every time that the Bokke pull those magnificent jerseys over their heads, our hearts swell with pride…. we expect nothing less than for the Bokke to win.. and win well.
The Wallabies have been undercooked this season, but so has England. This will be an interesting tussle.

I received a very enlightening E-Mail with proper stats detailing the exact position of every team, since Finals were introduced in 1939.
It appears that the Springboks might not choose their best team for a number of their Test in 2010, in an attempt to rest and manage players for the all important World Cup of 2011… is this wise or absolute folly?
We decided that there is such a lot of pent up frustration from rugby supporters of every other team, except of course the Bulls, that a channel is needed to blow off some steam.

The Pumas took on the Boland Cavalliers at Witbank in their second round Promotion / Relegation game to decide who will take part in next year’s Curry Cup Premier Division. The Pumas absolutely demolished Boland, beating them 40 / 3.
The SWD Eagles took on the Platinum Leopards at Outeniqua Park, George in their second round Promotion / Relegation game to decide who will take part in next year’s Curry Cup Premier Division. The SWD Eagles won the game 18 / 17 but it was not enough to oust the Leopards from the Currie Cup Premier Division. The Leopards go through on points difference after both teams finished tied on the Mini Log, 6 / 6.
Who is not amped up for the Currie Cup Final? Even supporters from non-participating teams cannot wait for the epic battle due to follow on Saturday 30 October 2009.
