South Africa and Pakistan did battle in the 2nd 5-Day Test at Newlands, Cape Town which started at 10:30 SA Time on Thursday 14 February and which was supposed to run till Monday 18 February 2013.

South Africa won the toss and elected to field.

Pakistan managed 338 All Out in the 1st innings and South Africa 12 runs less with their 326. In the 2nd Innings, Pakistan were all out for 169 on the 4th Day and South Africa were required to get 182 to win the Test.

South Africa reached 182 / 6 near the end of day 4, winning the Test and the Series, with 1 Test still to come (Friday 22 to Tuesday 26 February 2013 at Centurion Park).

HSBC Sevens World SeriesSouth Africa’s Blitzbokke did their nation proud!

Going into the semi-final, they faced Samoa, who took them all the way to extra time before the golden goal by the Blitzbokke put South Africa in the final against New Zealand who was also taken into extra time by Fiji in their semi-final.

The final was a total demolition job by the Blitzbokke on New Zealand, with the Blitzbokke romping to 28 / 0 (4 converted tries) by halftime.

They kept their composure, scoring again after halftime, leading 35 / 0, before New Zealand scored 3 times in a gutsy effort to pull the score back to respectable levels against 1 final score by South Africa.

South Africa won in fine style, by 40 / 21.

South Africa and Pakistan did battle in the 1st 5-Day Test at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg which started at 10:30 SA Time on Friday 1 February and which was supposed to run till Tuesday 5 February 2013.

This was the Live Game Article for the Match.

South Africa won the toss and batted first on a difficult wicket, getting 253 in the First Innings, then dismissing Pakistan for a poultry 49 runs. South Africa had the choice to ask Pakistan to follow-on but chose to bat again, amassing 275 / 3 before declaring in their Second Innings, a lead of 479.

Pakistan put up a brave performance in their Second Innings, only losing 4 wickets on Day 3, but with South Africa taking the New Ball early on Day 4, they bundled Pakistan out for 268.

South Africa win comfortably with a Day and a Half spare, before Lunch on Day 4 and win by 211 runs.
