Sharks have it, their own side of halfway…
Penalty Sharks.
Halfway line. 5m in.
Time up on the clock.
How good is Zeilinga?
Hooter has gone… Sharks for goal from a penalty to win the game
Missed.
Lions win.
Nice game but my nerves are now well and truly shot.
Missed… wow…
Lions win…
Great stuff!!
I dont think anyone believed he will kick it over
Well done Lions
Well done both teams….great game.
Shark’s youngsters really came out and played with heart, well done Lions for hanging in there
Squeaky bum time for the Lions at the end. Good win nevertheless. An entertaining match to watch.
Well done for holding on Lions. Reading some comments and listening on Radio seems it was exciting game.
Die senuwees hy is nie meer!!! N baie goeie game. Sharks het baie hart gewys. SA rugby lyk nie so bleek soos almal se nie. Al ons veterane laat ons in die steek. Go Bulle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well played again to the Lions – what a great bunch of players.
Hope Mark Richards recovers quickly – that was one helluva jolt he took.
To the Sharks, you put up a fine performance from such a young, new team. Well played.
I am still hopeful that the boys will be there at the sharp end of the competition.
To all the haters on this forum – fark you.
So Bok team at the moment:
1. Kitsoff
2. Biz
3. Koch
4. Eben
5. PSDT
6. Brussouw
7. Burger
8. Duane
9. Reinach
10. Pollard
11. Habana
12. DDA
13. Serfontein
14. WLR
15. Kriel
@ RefuG:
not bad, but scrumhalf still such a headache, especially for the type for rugby we need to play to be competitive
@ MacroBull:
I think Cobus and Pollard could make a great combo. I know they’ll be bring in Du Preez, but he is a bit of a lottery playing in Japan for so long. Sarel is another choice I’d really like to see there.
Anyway, it doesn’t really matter. HM will go the conservative route. Expect the team to look like:
Beast
Biz
Jannie
Eben
Matfield
Louw
Alberts
Duane
Du Preez
Pollard
Habana
Serfontein
JDV
Pietersen
WLR
@ RefuG:
Would be excellent if Jano Vermaak can get some game time, but at this stage Du Preez will be a big risk… still 8/9 more games luckily for someone to stake claim.
Commiserations to the Shark supporters. I though that you would pull this one through. I really did. The lions were just better on the day and deserved their win.
Congrats to the Lions. You cracked the 20 point barrier again. Two weeks in a row now. Well done.
@ RefuG:
Why Pollard and not Lambie. The last time Pollard started for the Boks (against Ireland) he was abysmal. Lambie has a 100% winning record in the NH as a starting FH if I’m not mistaken. The last time I checked the RWC will take place in Eng.
PS: I know that it is not “your team” but the team that you think HM will go with. Just interested to know why YOU think HM will go with Pollard instead of Lambie.
199 @ Nama:
post 193 tends to suggest that he would select Pollard himself.
I watched a recording of the game this morning.
I thought it was good game (but that both goal kickers were poor), & that the Sharks did well given the disruptions. Although a nail-biter, the Lions’ victory was on balance deserved.
I think the Sharks have bottomed.
PS: It was a great weekend for SA rugby, & that lifts my gloom of last week.
