Still a few games to go but think it should end up with Aus ending 2nd in their pool and Sri Lanka 3rd, and us 2nd and Pakistan 3rd so we get Sri Lanka in the quarter final. Asian guy I bought my mielie pap from yesterday reckons we will meet NZ in the semi final.

I guess all the Quarters are now all locked up and decided as far as who plays who and so forth!

Was good batting practice for the middle and lower order batters.

    Great effort by The Bangers.

I wish them well in the Q/F’s.

All of the minnows, (although Bangladesh are not quite minnows), have played well and shown they deserve to playing in the CWC.

    England on the other hand………………………………….

    😉

Yip send it will be us vs Siri Lanka and then against NZ if we get through that one.

The Cricket minnows, outside the traditional “Test Nations” all surprized this Cricket World Cup, hey!

    Ireland, Afganistan, Bangladesh…

Let me work a bit… see you chappies a bit later….

I need to finish one Notebook, then do some News articles AND the Weekend Teams thingy here on R-T, then I need to do and send out 9 Invoices, and finish the final tweaks on one installation remotely in Slaapstad…

The centurion, Guptill, survived a confident LBW appeal early on. The appeal was turned down by the #1 umpire in the world. Later TV reviews showed that the ball did not 1st touch the bat prior to thudding into Guptill’s pads, and that he should’ve been given out. But Bangladesh did not have the gumption to challenge the umpire’s decision.
Match outcomes & quarter final opponents sometimes turn on such small things …
