Loosehead,
Don’t know what three Sharks wins has to do with the Tjietas being one of the two consistently worst teams in the S14?
FS, agreed the Cheetahs and Lions have been poor, but then so have the Sharks and Stormers.
Go and win the competition, then come and tell me how poor my team has been.
Pot, kettle, black……
Loosehead,
How many teams have won this comp? You reckon the rest of them are as poor as the Tjietas and the Lions?
My main grievance is this, why is it that the breeding ground of rugby players are not at least finishing top 7, or even just losing by a smaller margins? How is it that the Tjietas still have not been able to get enough finances to offer their players a bigger pay checque?
It is frustrating to see a team, which by SA standards should be placed in the top 4 of the log, handing out log points to the ozzies and kiwis.
Loosehead,
…and the worst is, the Tjietas management has yet to even try and do anything to fix it, and the Tjieta supporters aren’t jumping on them for NOT doing anything.

Somebody questioned the Lions a while ago, they sit in the area where SA big business is seated and they cant build a great team. He said if you look in the parking lot at meeting you will see the money went.
The Cheetahs had the product to market, winning the Currie Cup did nothing for them. Makes one wonder, but then that dam beach in Durbs…..
First of all
PUMA….where are you? Well done for the Sharks game.

To get this off my chest…..
BONUS POINTS!!
Is this the demise of rugby rewarding mediocre performances?
In 2 games a team could have a win and a loss but lose out to a team that does not win at all. Compare this to a team who loses with two bonus points and draws with a bonus point.
How can we be rewarding a losing team half the points for winning and then rewarding a draw close to as much as a win.
The losing team should not be given a four try bonus point…I agree give them the less than 7 points defeat bonus point. I believe the four try bonus should go to the team that scores the four tries and wins.
In the case of a draw both teams score four tries give the bonus point to the first team to score the four tries.
Are we not about rewarding winners…at the moment we are sympathising with losers.
My theory
a win – 4 points
A win and four tries – 5 points
A draw – 2 points
draw (first team to four tries) – 3 points
Losing team max points – 1point (less than 7 gap)
@firestaeuli
1 and how manny games did the migthy guppies win against the kaksleg cheetahs in the past 5 years
2 we can do nothing about kak sleg notalent produsing idiot unions stealing our whole team every year
3 and the guppies won the super rugby series how many times before
4 the gupies union had how many teams in the varsety cup play offs, o i forgot they had NO teams in the varsety cup
5 and the migty guppies won the curry cup how manny times this past 5 years
6 and the mihgty guppies won how manny under age trophies last year
7 and the mighty guppies had how manny players is the sa schools team last year
8 no my friend all that the guppies are good at is stealing players from the cheetahs
smallies(aged)72,
So by your own admission the Tjietas has not one decent reason for not having one of the two top teams in the S14 from SA, seeing as you’ve beaten the Sharks that many times, won that many CC’s, why would a player then rather go to an inferior franchise such as the Sharks?
Can’t be the money, surely a successful team such as the tjietas are able to market their brand well enough to never have to think twice about the amount of money they are able to offer their many star players?
Btw, the kiwi and ozzie S14 teams obviously has no regard for how many times the tjietas have won the CC and beaten the Sharks, hence them simply strolling onto the park to collect their annual 5point grant disgracefully sponsored by the tjietas.
@FireStraeuli
