His Masters’ Voice operated today at his ‘private’ capacity, like he does on all matches where SARU don’t have any interest π
He did a good con job; kept the Saders behind in the 1st Half, then released the leash, toward the end he started hitting them again with bogus and 50/50 penalties
The script was written before the game, the Tahs were just too lousy to win with greater the margins

Hooper got away with a lot, unlike McCaw he operates ABOVE the mound mostly, not pilfering below
Should have cost the Tahs with numerous penalties today, I say he actually owes it to Joubert
π
@ Hondo:
Yeah, well can’t even argue with you today.
Mallet pointed out the error of the match winning penalty as clear as daylight, and Craig was in the perfect position to have seen the Tahs transgress first.
@ Hondo:
Still a hell of a match though

Excited or what!!

Sure,
Joubert made it a close, exciting contest while in reality it should have been a no contest at all
Joubert isn’t a creep like Walsh, Peyper or Jonker to name few; he has the ‘feel’ for the game and that’s why his services are so highly paid for.
Mallett didn’t notice (or just elected to ignore) a string of penalties in the opening 30 minutes that went against the Saders, or Joubert turning a blind eye on enormous amount of infractions by the Tahs’ number 3 that should have earned him at least 2 Yellows?
It was all been said well beforehand though π π π
@ Hondo:
This is what Mallet said “During the last play of the game, the support player used his hands in a ruck. It should have been a penalty to the Crusaders, and it turned into a penalty for the Waratahs. On such tiny margins a season is decided. A referee’s decision in the final minute of the game could’ve won the game for the Crusaders as opposed to lose it for them.’
Sorry I could not join you all for the banter but would just like to thank you for a brilliant ‘ride’ these last few weeks on superBru.
I know it comes as a massive surprise to some that a Pommie woman could win in a pool of 97 mostly rugby mad males.
As you know it is 90% luck, and 10% judgement.!! …. and I did my selections by myself, but would like to thank Robzim for the discussions we had on a Friday when I did my picks, yes MY picks!!
Well done to Sharks Forever, he really kept me on my toes in the last few weeks!
Thanks for congratulations and the chats I enjoy here…..
Well done to The Tah’s…. Shame you did not do it by 5, then I would have been spot on!!
@ Blue Bird:
Well done C, you sure showed us how it’s done!
@ BrumbiesBoy:
P.S.
@ Blue Bird:
At least, unlike the Sharks, when you hit the top of the group you didn’t let it slide when it counted.
You stayed up there and consistent, deserved winner
@ Blue Bird:
Oh, and also congrats for finishing 1st in the Hore is set for hefty ban group.

@ 308
Well done. Fantastic!!
It has been a good week for England:
1. a Cricket victory against India.
2. Most medals at the Commonwealth games
3. Carol Bluebird won RT superbru
Her Majesty is probably raising a glass tonight in Buckingham palace.

I agreed with Mallett, I had no doubt he will ping the Saders in the end π
What Mallett didn’t say (or could not say) was that Joubert controlled the margin throughout the match,
A surge of the Aus rugby union is in the best interest of NZ preparing toward 2016 year when the SR is split between ANZAC and SA pools
314 @ Hondo:
Blackadder also had some questions, so it put it on a new thread
Guess there will be a couple of days of moaning and groaning and then it will all be forgotten, until Joubert “owes” the AB’s one again
@ nortierd:
Imagine the outcry in SA if one of our teams was on the receiving end and someone like Bryce or Steve Walsh was the ref.

Yep. Facebook petitions would be doing the rounds already.
Now all you will see is “McCaw is a cheat” etc and those type of comments.
I’ve had a look at some of the other sites and no sympathy for McCaw or the Saders at all.
@ robzim:
Well said Rob.
@ Hondo: you are a serious cynic Hondo but I respect that this is one’s right to be cynical. But seriously boet, its not that cool to see a puffadder on every path. Sometimes there’s just a little mamba. π―
@ nortierd: too close to the truth Rob.
Jis. I pick my moments on this site. Folks have gone kuiering and I’m talking to myself. Chaars. Nite folks. Lekker slaap.

“its not that cool to see a puffadder on every path. Sometimes thereβs just a little mamba”
Here on the Hi Veld there are no mambas, Bumshlags and cobras aplenty though (or used to be)
We killed them on sight then checked whether it’s a puffadder, or otherwise π
You missed the point Tassie: I referred to my pre match prediction which happened to materialise in full, just a cold assessment of which we lived in?!
π
Plenty of what ifs, what if Nadolos try was disallowed? very lucky call that went the Saders way.
@ nortierd:
Wasn’t it perfect daylight that one of the crusaders tries was not a try! The whole stadium booed when the try was awarded as we could see foot in touch on the replays yet TMO saw otherwise! Even Jobert had hesitancy.
“Really, I am not an alcoholic I only drink when McCaw is offside!”
@ Wallabie:
Agree that it looked like his foot was in touch
@ Wallabie:
Does that really matter now, just enjoy the victory. The positives out of this loss is that Australian rugby will be very confident now, McKensie won’t be able to help himself and start flapping at the mouth.
Agree with that assessment NZ.
I think pretty much everyone agrees; that this was one hellava good game of rugga as a spectacle. Congratulations much go to both teams and their respective management for executing the game as it was intended and should be played. Whilst I was rooting for the Sharks to be in the final, in hindsight, it has to be said that they would never have helped to deliver what we witnessed yesterday. A shame really. No-one, besides Jake, Alastair and a few others, actually enjoy that style of negative footie. The ref should be taking some credit too I’d think, since he kept things flowing.
@ Tassies:
Agree, two worthy teams in the final and the game played as it should be played.
@ Tassies:
Good post.
