DHL Stormers head coach Allister Coetzee has made four changes ahead of Saturday afternoon’s Vodacom Super Rugby home clash against the Highlanders.

* Tickets for this weekend can be bought online at TicketPros, or from selected Spar stores or PostNet outlets/stores. Ticket prices start at R50 for standing and R80 for seating.
The DHL Stormers will take on the high-riding Highlanders at DHL Newlands at 15:00 with fit-again hooker Scarra Ntubeni back in the front row and hard-running winger Sailosi Tagicakibau wearing the No 11 shirt.
In other changes, meanwhile, experienced Springbok flank Schalk Burger comes in for Siya Kolisi at No 7 and Kurt Coleman will make his first start of 2014 in the flyhalf position.
“Having Scarra back to full fitness is a good thing for us. We have spoken about our set-piece, so it’s all about trying to get consistency there,” coach Coetzee told www.iamastormer.com.
“Players like Deon Fourie and Siya Kolisi can make a big impact for us off the bench – they’re game sharp and aware of the roles they need to fill.
“At the same time, I thought Schalk Burger and Kurt Coleman – who are starting this week – made big impacts off the bench against the Cheetahs,” added the DHL Stormers boss.
“Kurt, in particular, has been very patient. He started the season late because of injury after a strong Absa Currie Cup campaign in 2013 and he went on our Super Rugby tour without playing a minute. He deserves this starting opportunity after showing some good touches against the Cheetahs.”

walk in the park…
(Dark park filled with monsters)
Coleman should tell AC to get stuffed.
The Greek was the chosen one, he didn’t work
The Popgun Pete had plenty of games to keep messing up
Now Coleman is the 3rd choice behind two that has stuffed up for a combined 11 rounds
Sadly i do not think Coleman is the long term answer either although he is certainly a better all rounder than either of the other two. I see Robert du Preez is on the bench for the Vodacom team with van Aswegen starting.. hopefully he can soon make the step up to senior rugby.
yip… kurt is a better all round and way more consistent flyhalf than the other two… good to see him get a shot at it… he simply can’t be any worse…
also good to kobus van wyk on the bench… although he should be starting in place of takkie-that-can-bow… kobus has done much more in his time on the field than any other wing… except damien… and deserves an extended run at it IMO…
i’m with you about young du Preez, Rob… there’s always the risk of pushing them too far too soon… but i reckon the circumstances are exceptional and warrant giving him a shot at the big time… which I’m pretty sure he will handle… haven’t seen him get flustered or stressed on the field for anything… and at least he can kick…!! also a better defender the PG, DC, KC or GvA…
@ ufo:
Du Preez will probably be groomed at under 21 rugby this season ..perhaps it is a good thing that he don’t start tomorrow night against a very strong Puma team… i do not think the under WP 21 team will be very strong this year but the under 19’s should be awesome with a host of SA school players available including EW Viljoen (15) and Phillips ( no 9) who were outstanding at school level. Let’s hope they can retain most of that talent.
Thought we had already faced the Hurricanes
Lucky for us we faced them early in the comp before they started getting better
yeah Rob… true… and agree on all your points…
our biggest problem of the last five or seven years has been not identifying and hanging onto our homegrown cape talent… hopefully Gert will sort that out…
i’m also very impressed with carel du preez the number 8 who stepped in for the injured rayn smit… he’s a classes number 8… big, tall, great skills, fast, great linking with backs, and really really hungry… definitely one to watch… also good to see josh katzen is fit again… with deon off to france… our loosies looking good anyway…
agree our under 19s are looking really good… let’s hope they fulfil their promise…
a classic number 8… 😳
Just get the ball to JdeJ and De Allende!
Expect Stormers to win, just…
