Predicting how many games each of the South African Conference teams will lose is the object of this game. Two rounds were played and we already have a player walking on thin ice.
Each team has to play 16 games in the regular season. We had to predict how many games each team will lose through the regular season. All of us showed little faith in the Lions team. The players who gave the Lions their best chance is Gumboots and Grootblousmile with only 11 loses predicted. The Lions might just be the achilles heel for most here. They were only given a chance to win between 2 and 5 games. Well they have already won 2 and have 2 in the bag after 2 games.
Timothy Borman, Cheetah4eva and OzzieKiwi can’t afford the Lions to get another win. With the poor form of their next opponent, the Vodacom Bulls, even fortress Loftus might not save him in the next round.
Another player with the gun against his head is Loosehead, because of his beliefs in the Stormers. He predicted only 2 losses for the Stormers and after the shock win by the Lions the Stormers can put him on the brink of an early exit if they lose another game.
SuperBul is another player who must be in shock with his team’s performance. The Bulls left him with little margin for error after his blind faith that they would only lose 4 games.

The Lions are surprising us all… and I am happy for them!
@ grootblousmile:
Now where is my name???
@ grootblousmile:
What time did you get away on Sat’.
The sun roasted me.
2 @ Scrumdown:
Have asked SuperBul to check on yours and to add it.
3 @ Scrumdown:
Let’s put it this way… we got away very late… hehehe
Hi,
My name is not on the list, was the 2nd one to put my picks down
Cheers
Gena
6 @ Gena_ZA:
I have mailed SuperBul to review yours too… hang in there for us
After watching the Lions on Saturday think my pick will be wrong there. Should have gone with 8 loses or less if they keep up how they played on Saturday as they were superb.
Thought the Kings showing in their first game was great last year but the Lions have started this year even better. Just think if they do lose players to injuries they don’t have enough depth. Still think they will win more than I have predicted above.
Also if the Lions keep playing like that they will have huge crowds coming back to Ellis Park. On Saturday it was a mix of Stormers and Lions supporters but feel if they win more they will have more Lions supporters coming back to the ground for sure.
Just checked the stat’s.
The last time the Lions won their first 2 SR games was in 2001! Tat year they beat the Stormers 29-24 in Cape Town and the Highlanders 56-21 in JHB.
That was also the year they last made the play off.
Ek het weer die Stormers Lions game op recording gekyk en wragtig die keer het die Stormers nog kakker gespeel
11 @ Gena_ZA:
Hehehehe
Jinne swaer, wat maak jou en my spanne?
@ grootblousmile:
My gat gesien na die naweek! Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
@ Gena_ZA:
@ 11 – Ja man, en moenie in “slow motion” kyk nie – dan lyk hulle net nog kakker!
