Western Province Rugby would like to extend its condolences to the Mellish family, with the passing of former Western Province prop and rugby administrator Francis Mellish last weekend.
Francis Mellish played club for Hamilton’s and, later, Villager’s and he was the senior Vice-President in Jan Pickard’s era at the WP Rugby Football Union.
Mellish was living in Somerset West until his death and is survived by his widow Moraig and three children.
WP Rugby would like to extend its sympathies to Mellish’s family and friends, may he rest in peace.
