The resignations of head coach Pote Human and Abre Minnie have been confirmed by Griqualand West Rugby Union.
Both these members will be leaving Griquas at the end of the 2013 Currie Cup season.
Human will be joining Tukkies as head coach where he also signed a three year deal starting in 2014.
In a interview Human said the following:
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Griquas and wish the union and the players all the best going forward, but I am not getting any younger and I need to take a new opportunity if it arises.”
Minnie who will also end his career with Griquas, will be moving to George.
In a interview Minnie said the following:
“I spent 11 years in Kimberley and leaving Griquas was a very difficult decision,” said Minnie.
“I put a lot of thought into it and, in the end, made a business decision that will work best for me and my family.”
It seem likely that the Griqua coaching position will be advertised within the next week.
