Stormers flank Don Armand has become the latest player to leave the Cape side after he confirmed a move to English Premiership club Exeter Chiefs.

The former UCT stalwart who won the Varsity Cup with the Ikey Tigers in 2011 and then the Currie Cup with Western Province in 2012 confirmed the news via Twitter.
“It’s been an amazing privilege to be a part of the Stormers family. My team-mates, management and especially the fans have given me an amazing experience. Memories that will last a lifetime,” he tweeted.
Armand, who can play both at lock and blindside flank, has battled to nail down a starting berth with the Stormers, and got most of his Super Rugby opportunities when first-choice players were injured.
He joins a lengthening list of Stormers players who are leaving Cape Town for greener pastures with Bryan Habana (Toulon), Andries Bekker (Kobe Steelers), Dewaldt Duvenage (Perpignan) and Joe Pietersen (Biarritz) all leaving the franchise at the end of the season.
Although not officially confirmed by either Exeter or the Stormers, Armand’s departure will be announced at a media briefing later this week.
Whilst the future of Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies, whose contract with the Lions expires at the end of the year, is still up in the air the Stormers are also expected to confirm the signing of fullback Jaco Taute later this week.
Will the Stomps / WP have 15 players for net season?
Don was a filler player, not a big loss
