In the week leading up to a big game it’s unusual for the two opposing teams to come together off the field, but on Wednesday 5 September members of the Qantas Wallabies and Springboks squads will be getting together for a South African style big BRAAI.

Fans will have the chance to mix, mingle and rub shoulders with two of the biggest teams in world Rugby as they come together just three days before their Castrol EDGE Rugby Championship Test at Patersons Stadium.
The two rugby powerhouses will be hosting a big Braai, which is a traditional South African BBQ, at Northbridge Piazza, corner of Lake and James Street, Northbridge from 4.30 – 7.00pm, with members of both squads in attendance from 5:30.
Entry to the big Braai is free and will feature some great giveaways on offer, plus the chance to win prizes, including tickets to the Test match at Paterson’s Stadium on Saturday 8 September.
The Springboks will head to Australia to play the Qantas Wallabies following their first two matches of The Castrol EDGE Rugby Championship against newcomers, Argentina, in South Africa and Argentina respectively.
For the Qantas Wallabies the match comes straight after the first two Bledisloe Cup Tests for 2012 against reigning Rugby World Cup Champions, the All Blacks.
The Test on Saturday 8 September between the Qantas Wallabies and Springboks at Patersons Stadium will be the first time the two sides have met since the Australians beat the Springboks in an epic Rugby World Cup quarter final last year.
Both sides will be fired up for what promises to be a thundering clash, with the Springboks undoubtedly out for revenge.
Jeez, why don’t they just get together to share each other’s girlfriends too, FLOK!
… hehehe
1 @ grootblouBokJan:
A couple of beers and the Wobblies will have all of the SA match plans. Nah, they know them all already.
Kick, chase, give away possesion.
Big men carry it up from set phases, (try to) run over the opposition, go to ground, give the half-back nice slow ball, and start again until penalised.
Roo tails on the coals?
3 @ Scrumdown:
You mean Roo tails on the BARBIE!
Hehehe
Flok, I’d rather have them share girlfriends…. hahaha
(Braai) packing for Perth?
