Wales have named three debutants in their team to face the Barbarians and have also named veteran flanker Martyn Williams on the bench wherehe is set to win his 100th cap at Millennium Stadium.

If the retiring 36-year-old flanker enters the fray in Cardiff, he will become the third Welsh player – after Stephen Jones and Gareth Thomas -to reach the milestone.

The Six Nations winners are using the game as a warmup for the three-test tour of Australia next week, and caretaker coach Rob Howley has named a team containing three uncapped players – fullback Liam Williams, prop Rhodri Jones and winger Harry Robinson.

“We have picked a side on form, with an eye on bringing players through for the future, but very much with the intention of getting the summer campaign off to a winning start,” said Howley, who was in charge while head coach Warren Gatland recovers from surgery to his heels.

The final 34-man squad for the Australia tour, which also includes a midweek game against the Brumbies, will be confirmed after Saturday’s match.

Team: 15 Liam Williams, 14 Harry Robinson, 13 Adam Bishop, 12 James Hook, 11 Aled Brew, 10 Dan Biggar, 9 Lloyd Williams, 8 Ryan Jones, 7 Justin Tipuric, 6 Josh Turnbull, 5 Ian Evans, 4 Alun-Wyn Jones, 3 Rhodri Jones, 2 Matthew Rees (Captain), 1 Rhys Gill.

Replacements: 16 Richard Hibbard, 17 Paul James, 18 Aaron Shingler, 19 Martyn Williams, 20 Rhys Webb, 21 Adam Warren, 22 Will Harries.

Two things have struck me me this morning. First will be of interest to all of you, and the second has struck me with such force, the wind was completely knocked out of my lungs, and I am lying here fighting desperately for breath to stay alive.

No.1. More of housekeeping really, please remember that the SuperBru Winter Tours start this weekend, with this BaaBaa’s match being the first up, so put in your predictions.
No.2 Some one at ‘Bru has changed the colour of the ‘Bru homepage ‘Berry Fuchsia’ coloured.

4@ grootblousmile:I see that according to Bulls media, we have gone from purple, to berry fuchsia, to pink – and the shirt hasn’t changed colour yet! Those boys in Tshwaaaaaaaaane must be so confused right now.

@ grootblousmile:Your site seemed to go down for a while there, probably good, as it made me go and do a bit of work! When the shirt first came out, the media release said it was purple. Then 2 weeks ago, the media release referred to the colour as berry fuchsia. This week, in keeping with the CANSA campaign, the media release has referred to the colour as purple. You lot up there must be smoking something hectic, as for the rest of us, the colour hasn’t changed!!!

@ grootblousmile:I think in showing with the CANSA thing this weekend, you should change everyones post colour to default pink. It would be a very nice touch, and something no other site will be doing

I was thinking along the same lines… making comments PINK, on SATURDAY only…

In fact I won’t make the Comment Text Colour PINK, I’ll make the Comment Background Colour Pink… and a Bit darker Pink for Alternating Comments…

Site was down for 5 Minutes or so earlier…. freegin Web Host!

10@ grootblousmile:When you have sorted the colours, let me know, and I will start a mini tweet campaign about it. That should attract a few people!

    11 @ Just For Kicks:
    OK…

You’ll see the difference when it’s sorted out… believe me!
