Hello folks and fellow SuperBru players.

Today is D-Day for 2 of the 3 Rugby-Talk SuperBru pools. Later today I have to decide, who stays and who gets booted out of the Rugby-Talk Six Nations pool as well as out of the Rugby-Talk Varsity Cup 2012 pool.

Here’s a list of players not accepted in those 2 pools yet:

Rugby-Talk SIX Nations:

  • Johnny Walker
  • Geniusboywonder

Rugby-Talk Varsity Cup 2012:

  • Mayhem
  • Arrie

The cut-off time for conformation with the requirement to be a registered Rugby-Talk user, and therefore for Acceptance in these 2 pools, is at 18:00 today, Friday 17 February 2012.

These 2 Competitions are well underway already and I simply cannot extend the deadline any longer!

There is still a little time for new registrations and Rugby-Talk registration for the Rugby-Talk Super Rugby 2012 competition, but don’t delay, get cracking there too.

Regards,

grootblousmile

Come on, stragglers, I would dearly like to accept you in the pools!

  • 2

OK, so I’ve closed 2 of the 3 Rugby-Talk pools for new applications and for acceptance in those 2 Pools.

Those who did not comply, sorry, you had ample chance to register here at Rugby-Talk.

Damn, you’re a hard man! Sorry I wasn’t around when you called, during harvest I usually forward all my calls to the ball and chain, as I inevitably have my head in a tank somewhere!

I haven’t had a chance to post anything, and I see you put up the Newlands one, so I will try again when I have a decent story

    3 @ Just For Kicks:
I changed a number of things on the site….

I re-wrote the Menu code for the Menu’s under the Header Graphics
I implimented a TOTALLY different Caching and Performance plugin
    I cleared all old caching
I deleted some old and unused Plugins
I Optimised and Repaired all SQL tables on the Server at the web host

… and then I extensively tested for anomalies… all tests now indicate great performance and speed….

So, if you or anybody has a hassle to place Articles, mail me or phone me.

PS! When Mrs Kickers answered your phone I thought you had been hit in the balls or something and undergone a voice change as a result…. hehehehe

@ grootblousmile:I noticed the menu changes, and the LHS looks much better, as for the rest, I wouldn’t know. As for Mrs K, haven’t been hit in the balls, but you can see who wheres the pants!!!

    wheres=wears!!!!

The Sharks beat the Southern Kings 38-13 in their final pre-season warm-up match before next week’s Vodacom Super Rugby tournament-opener against the Bulls, after leading 10-3 lead at half-time.

    7 @ Just For Kicks:
Gmpffff, not too impressive by the Sharks… was almost their FULL-STRENGHT Super Rugby starting side which played

  • 9

    5 @ Just For Kicks:
As for Mrs Kickers… she was very friendly over the phone, seemed to know my name and all….. she still sounds very, very English (fresh from the mother country)!

  • 10

    @ Just For Kicks:
If you take the performances against the Southeren Kings, the Lions is by far the best prepared(88-0) and the Bulls worst(16-12)
Ok let the real games begin, 7 days to go…

9@ grootblousmile:She’d get very annoyed with that statement, Scottish through and through, admittedly no Scottish accent, but a born and bred Scot who still harbours resentment for the Sasanach’s coming north and invading the Highalnds!

    10 @ superBul:
Bulls played their youngsters, basically their Vodacom Cup side, against the Kings

  • 13

10@ superBul:Lions did play the poorest team though.

  • 14

    11 @ Just For Kicks:
I should have said “Very British”, not English….

  • 15

Pretty boring W/end ahead, no rugby, no decent cricket – a couple of T20’s, Proteas (hardly worth watching on Sunday morning after todays performance), and MiWay later on Sunday.

I need to find a hobby!

  • 16

10@ superBul:That didn’t come out correctly at all after rereading that comment. what I meant to say was that the Kings team itself was by far the poorest of their teams to have played in their 5 match tournament.

  • 17

    11@ grootblousmile:Hahaha, thats better!!!

  • 18

    15 @ Just For Kicks:
I think we should be relatively thankful for this quiet weekend… next week all hell breaks loose!

  • 19

Lemoenetyd at the Biarritz / Perpignan game….

… my queue to also pack my things and head inside…

  • 20

    Cheers!

    Goooooooooi Mieliessssssssssssssss

    @ Just For Kicks:
Dont worry , i take no real notice in warm up games. I just tried and succeeded in upsetting our best Bull supporter GBS.
Last few years we had a poke at the Lions site WTR, who talked up the Lions so much. They could see only their own team…

  • 22

@ superBul:GBS has certainly started getting tunnel vision lately, I wonder if it has anything to do with the accident!

  • 23

    21 @ superBul:
    22 @ Just For Kicks:
    Hey, hey, hey!

Not upset and no tunel vision either…

… I said, and still say the Bulls are in a re-building year… and I expect them to finish mid-table, maybe just outside the top 6 again…

23@ grootblousmile:Well then, maybe you’re suffering from a bit of pink eye?
