Christmas Message from YOUR webmonster!
Hello,
The video says it all really… it says I’ve grown older at a rate of knots (all your fault of course), it says my hair is thinning at the top… and above all it shows I need a rest.
To EVERYBODY who reads Rugby-Talk, who contributes, who blogs, who write Articles on Rugby-Talk and who make this community so special, hearty thanks for yet another year! It is our 3rd Christmas on Rugby-Talk already!
To all of you, if you’re driving a vehicle – do it safely, if you’ll be consuming alcohol – do it responsibly AND do not drive. To those going on holiday or spending some much needed time with family and friends and loved ones over the festive period, may it be a blessed time, a time of joy and celebration, and a time of reflection about what is really important in life.
OK, OK already… here’s the video…
Rugby-Talk WILL NOT shut down over the festive period, we will still have our news items, if any new rugby news is available, and of course from Boxing Day (26 December) onwards we will have a LIVE DISCUSSION ARTICLE featuring the 2nd 5-Day CricketTest between the SA Proteas and Sri Lanka.
Then, just before we see out the old year, I will put up a New Year’s Message to you guys as well.
Keep well friends.. and GOOOOOOOOOOOI MIELIESSSSSSSSS!
Regards,
Check this Jeff Dunham video, featuring Achmed, the dead terrorist…. so apt this year, of course!
… and this one…
… and this one…
Merry, Merry Christmas to you all, have a great one, and don’t go easy on the turkey!
@ Just For Kicks:
That turkey will get a tough time from me!
4 @ Just For Kicks:
Turkey… or gobble-gobble as I call them is another dish not very big amongst the Afrikaans folk for Christmas.
In Afrikaans a turkey is a ‘kalkoen’.
We Afrikaners seem to be BIGGGG on a Christmas beef roast, Chicken roast, pork roast, skaapboud, a massive braai or in some instances a good ham…. or all of them together… hehehe
On Sunday we’re having most of it… and more
Thanks for the message and thanks to all here for all the rugby chat thus far, here’s wishing you all a Blessed Christmas!
6@ grootblousmile:
Ja no turkey on Christmas menu this year we’ll have roast beef, looking forward to that!
@ Blue Bird:Thats the spirit!
@ grootblousmile:Bluebird and I really need to teach you a thing or two about Christmas! – Christmas without turkey is like a pencil with no lead………..theres just no point!
9 @ Just For Kicks:
I don’t use a pencil anymore… I’ve graduated to ballpoint pen…
Hehehe
First thought something was wrong with my eyes………hahaha. Thought there was a fly going past and actually had a swipe……hehe. Only to notice it was some stars (or rather snow stars)falling down the screen.
Really nice touch for Christmas gbs. Well done.
To all Rugby-Talkers have yourselves a wonderful and blessed Christmas and all the very best for the New Year.
To my Sharks hope we have a great 2012. That goes the same for all our teams and especially our Boks, may they be the first to whip the World Champs in new Rugby Championship….lol.
Another wish hope we have chosen the best coach for our Boks.
Anyhow enjoy whatever you all doing tonight and this wonderful festive season.
Really don’t drink and drive. Plenty road blocks, we must be responsible if we have a few drinks. Get a taxi or someone that does not drink to drive.
Cheers all catch up when the rugby starts.
11 @ Puma:

OK all friends here, my cash in did not work all that well. Tried to save with cheap labor.
I did start re-doing the thatch roof on Friday.
Early Saturday morning with the roof vulnerable we had a great flash flood, almost 60mm in less than 2 hours. Well the shop was flooded.
Tomorrow is mop up time to see what i can salvage.
Nice knock for starters.
Little sleep
But today was great with the kids and grand children at my place, we had a great time.
Hope all yours were great too.
