Sharks 53 / Lions 9 (Final score)

The Sharks hosted the MTN Golden Lions at Kings Park, Durban at 19:10 SA Time.

This was the live match discussion Article.

The sharks totally outclassed a lethargic and error ridden Lions side to book a home semi final against the Free state Cheetahs next week, where they will certainly carry all of the momentum.

The match was broadcast LIVE on SuperSport 1, SHD & M-Net on TV in SA.

Didn’t quite understand that penalty. Webster Jafta must know the rules better than I.

    @ Just For Kicks:
    No, have stopped looking Tounge-Out

  • 123

Michalek – good return, another 3 points

Nou dat Guthro/Vic/Bakkies/Danie weg is uit SA gaan die Sharks pak plaaslik domineer.

  • 125

Oh vlok. Lions playing like Tricky Dicky is back coaching them.

    @ ben_die_bul:
Wow, when one sees it spelled out like that, you realise the loss to SA rugby.

  • 128

Who is Maku on for. Bezuidenhout is still on.

  • 129

Pussy Cats look dead on their feet now

  • 130

117: ek praat van vanaand se wedstryd, nie laasweek nie.

  • 131

    Another try Botes

  • 132

    TRY Botes.

This is a good hiding for the Lions.

  • 133

Much better second half by the sharks 48 – 9

  • 134

So sleg verloor moet sy scars los, hoop die Leeus sal in ‘n week kan regmaak.

  • 135

Lions must be over the moon that hooter has sounded

  • 136

    Not giving up though

  • 137

    And another try Terblanche

  • 138

Oupa scores after the final hooter from a blatant forward pass.

Lions will certainly not be complacent after this hiding.

    Dankie Bryce.

Thats it, look forward to the big match tomorrow morning, then a bit of cricket to see the day out, oh yes and F1. Good day ahead, see you all in the morning

So na die Bok debakel is daar twee provinsies wat gelukkig is, die WP en die Sharks met al hul bokke terug.

Sterkte aan die underdogs, Cheetahs en Leeus !

  • 142

    Ciao guys, see you tomorrow.

  • 143

Well I think that this was probably the best thing that could have happened to the Lions at this point in the season.

A rude awakening of note. 2 or 3 half hearted decisions, and the quality side that the Sharks with their internationsl players are capitalised big time.

Mitchell will have to do some serious brain work on his players.

after the game against the WP he said that they would the mental conditioning this week already. Well if he did, it didn’t work. Lions were out thought and out played.

I’ve said all season that the Lions were setting themselves up for a HUGE disappointment. Let’s hope it isn’t so.

    Cheers guys.

I won’t be joining you for tomorrow morning’s game. I have to see a client at 09h30. Let’s hope it’s a 0-0 draw after extra time, and that all of the penalty kicks are missed.

Hopefully then, the coin will get stuck in the grass on its edge.

RWC 2011 isn’t worth squat anymore IMO.
