Having watched the 4 games in the Currie Cup Premier Division this past weekend, I nominate a Team of the week.
I rate the games of the weekend as follows, in quality and from good to not so good (in my best attempt at being objective).
1. Blue Bulls / Griquas – Some bloody good tries were manufactured and we saw full 15-man rugby from both Teams.
2. Sharks / Lions – It was hard and brutal rugby, yet lacked penetrating power from both sides.
3. Cheetahs / Leopards – It was expected of the Cheetahs to win, but they did better than the Sharks the previous weekend against the Leopards.
4. WP / Boland – It was a run-away victory for the WP who naturally should have beaten the lowly Boland by a massive score.
I will most probably cop a lot of flack putting the WP game only at No 4 but I considered the opposition which was played in determining the choices above.
To select the Team of the week is rather easy…. there can only be one… Bulls !
The Bulls are still far from their best. Should be rated no 4
The Bulls are on an upward curve!!!!! Just at the right time, cant say the same for the Sharks…..WP beware!!!!!

personally I would have changed the top two positions around, Bulls actually played a very bad fumbling game. Defence was very solid in Sharks encounter!
Lions, because they played the stronger team , almost a full Bok team. :disdain:

must add the Bulls can wait to be the best performing team until the semi and final, patience my Blue volk. Thats when we want to peak , like in the S14 final.
