The Bokke only make ONE change to the run-on Team, whereas the Wallabies make FIVE changes to their run-on Team.

The Bokke management confirmed that Odwa Ndungane replaces the injured J P Pietersen, who suffered a hamstring injury and who has returned to SA. In addition, injured lock Andries Bekker who has also been sidelined for 4 weeks and who also returned to SA, has been replaced on the bench by Danie Rossouw.

Odwa Ndungane was the obvious choice as replacement for J P Pietersen, why else was he taken on tour, if not for just such an event ! Although Odwa might not be the most electrifying winger, he is a solid option and I would have gone for the same option.

Writers and bloggers were touting Frans Steyn at Right Wing, there was talk of Adi Jacobs filling that spot too.

Danie Rossouw (Pakslae) is a good replacement on the bench and more of an “Enforcer” than Andries Bekker.

All in all, the replacements should not weaken the Bokke Team.

The Australia management on the other hand is clearly desperate, making FIVE changes to their run-on side, with Berrick Barnes starting at Inside Centre, Will Genia replacing the diabolical Luke Burgess at scrumhalf, David Pocock starts at flank, Drew Mitchell replaces Peter Hines and Tatafu Polota-Nau takes over from Stephen Moore at hooker.

Smarting from 4 losses out of 4 in the Tri-Nations, this revised Wallabie Team could be a hand full.

With Pocock chosen as Openside Flank, George Smith is moved to No 8, removing Richard Brown, who has been in dismal form, from the equasion.

In addition, Wycliff Palu and prop Palu Pek Cowan have been called up to fill bench spots. This means that Al Baxter and Richard Brown gets dropped from the match 22.
