One of my friends caught the dreaded lurgy, Covid-19, a few months back…
He is one of the fittest people in the world…. very good marathon runner… but he was in ICU for something like 6 weeks.
Problem was years and years ago he’d been shot through the lungs a number of times as a Policeman, so his lungs have a few bits of schrapnell in them and accordingly his lungs easily catches flues and pneumonia ect… so one can say he had a serious co-morbidity…
Almost did not make it…

Reasonably mild I would say, but it was still quite scary.
Had a setback early one Saturday morning at the end of August though, got an ambulance to take me to Sunninghill Hospital ICU but they just diagnosed a “panic attack” which is apparently quite common a few weeks after contracting Covid; gave me some pilletjies & sent me home!

My maid for 16 years died in June, of Covid… but she has serious co-morbidities… diabetes ect.
I’d sent her home, even before Lockdown, not wanting her to travel in the taxis ect… continued to pay her full when she was at home. Somehow she caught it though, died in a few days.
