Wales keeping the ball in the phases, tight, pick and drive…
Try Hallam Amos, Wales!
All Blacks 14 / 7 Wales
Good rugby so far from both sides…
All Blacks lose the ball, 5m out… Wales counter from their own line… and eventually a great kick to touch.
All Blacks now doing the up-and-under kick… and Wales get the ball.
Wales penalty, offside… very, very kickable.
In on the side by Scott Barrett.
Dane Coles off injured… maybe a head assessment.
Wales kick to the corner…
Wales penalty, 6m out… posts.
Easy peasy one.
All Blacks 14 / 10 Wales
Wales have been very good in the last 12 minutes, dragging the match back… and controlling the possession and the collisions.
Wales penalty… or was it a Free Kick, quick tap…
Little knock by Mo’unga… but the ball was right on his feet…
Wales scrum, near the middle spot… 2m inside Wales territory.
Wales scrum penalty!!
Patchell kicks to touch… expect Wales to take it tight, through the phases.
Wales knock!
All Blacks scrum penalty, on their own 22.
Try Ben Smith, All Blacks… next to the sticks.
All Blacks 21 / 10 Wales
All Blacks penalty, Moriarty held on… tap and go…
Another All Blacks penalty… just inside the Wales half…
Mo’unga does not manage to kick out…
Good exit kick by Wales… all the way to the All Blacks 10m line.
Wales penalty, not rolling away, just inside their own 10m line.
All Blacks culpably offside, not seen.
All Blacks penalty, just inside their own 10m line… good touchfinder by Mo’unga.
Try Ben Smith again, near right corner!
All Blacks 28 / 10 Wales
Halftime
4 Tries to 1, so far.
The All Blacks showing how to unlock Wales’ kicking and suffocating possession game.
I fear that England might well be able to show the same against the Springboks tomorrow.
Both the All Blacks and England with a much more complete style of game and game plan than either Wales or the Springboks.
If Wales wishes to come back from this deficit, they will have to cut their error-rate significantly, be far more diciplined… and not give possession away.
Against an attcking side like the All Blacks, the only way to go is to starve them of possession… because when the All Blacks attack they WILL unlock your defences, simple as that. Without the ball the All Blacks cannot do that, they cannot attack efficiently.
… and all the All Blacks need are a few quality balls for them to score, not a huge amount of dominant ball… just a few good attacking opportunities…
18 Points deficit… one already feels like the game has bolted away form Wales.
I cannot see Wales coming back from 18 points down… and I now expect the All Blacks to win by more than 30 points.
