Game is on. GO SCOTLAND!
Because Japan has been a great host nation firstly and secondly due to selfish Springbok support, I am hoping for a Japanese win.
Should Japan win, they will TOP the Pool, which means they will face the Springboks in the Quarters whereas Ireland will face the All Blacks.
Should Scotland win, then Ireland will TOP the Pool and face the Springboks in the Quarters, with Scotland facing the All Blacks.
My gut feel is that Scotland will win… I think the Japanese fairy tale can only go so far…
Scotland will have to keep the game tight, play a lot with the forwards… and defend like men possessed.
Japan will have to once again play out of their skins, use their opportunities, use their fleetfooted backline players… and their forwards would have to really again to the hard graft.
Fitting that the last match of all the Open Round matches decides the last of the Quarter-finalists to go through…
All to play for… it will be war!
This will be the most important match for most of the 46 players on the teams sheets that they have played in their lives…
Who can make the fewest errors, who can defend and attack best… who will take their opportunities?
The Jocks will be seriously backed by all of New Zealand… and Japs will be backed by most in South Africa.
Only 9 Matches remain in the whole Rugby World Cup 2019.

Don’t forget Brighton 2015 do the Boks really want to face the home team in a knock out game…
Players out on the field… to the roar of the crowd.
Think Scotland need to get the blend right of being patient and accurate but at the same time trying to pile on the points from the start, don’t fancy Scotland’s chance in a close game.

Yes, I hear you… but would you rather play Ireland or would you want to play Japan in the Quarters… that is the question!
Minute silence for those who have suffered during typhoon Hagabis…
