The Bokke are very physical and that is excellent!
Knocked by Pieter-Steph du Toit with a hard run… Italy play on… kick… Bokke try to counter.
Kicked directly into touch but taken back… Bokke very attacking lineout well in the Italy 22.
Bokke doing all the playing and applying all the pressure.
Kolisi goes off his feet, Italy penalty, 8m from their own line.
Lemoenetyd
So far, so good… job only halfway done though.
14 Point lead, 2 tries to none.
Nick Mallett very critical of our hesitancy to attack enough…
Scrums won’t be taking as much energy now they are uncontested and not so much of a weapon on attack deep in opposition half so Bok forwards can really put a lot of pace on the game in attack and defence especially considering there are 6 forwards still to come off the bench. This will help sharpen the forwards for upcoming games and hopefully also give the backs good ball to run with and play more of a passing game and so also get practice in doing this in a match in those conditions as they can do with as much handling practice as possible.

Very interesting Gbs didn’t see your comment till after I posted the long one if mine. This is an ideal situation to give it a go and if they drop balls in the process so be it they just keep at it to try perfect it. If it allows Italy some intercept points then they can easily switch back to the tight controlling game.
The Italian attcks have been blunted by great Bokke defence… but it also needs to be said that the Italian backline has never been a massive threat.
The Italian forwards are being dominated by the Bokke forwards, and that is good to see.
2nd Half ON!

I think the Bokke must just firsly get 3 scores ahead, befor they really sling the ball around.
I guess the only argument against them going more out on attack is if the coaches have decided powerful forward play and defence and kick chase with the odd bit of Kolbe magic is what will get them as far as possible in the tournament then that is what they will want to fine tune in the match situation. My feeling is they need to have various ways of winning and need to be able to vary things during a game in case plan A isnt working.

Italy 5m out… penalty!
Big scrap… Duane Vermeule down…
TMO looking at the challenge on Duane Vermeulen…
THAT was a tip tackle… Italy needs to get RED here!!
Red Card to Lovotti!
Madness from Lovotti… he deserves to be off and banned!
Frans Steyn is on…
Tryyyyy Pieter-Steph du Toit, Bokke!
Pollard hit a huge gap…
TMO to look at possible obstruction by Kolisi
Try cancelled, obstruction against Kolisi…. eish!
Koch and Kitshoff also on…
Numbers against the Bokke at the lineout, Italy Free Kick
Easy mark called by Pollard.
Willie le Roux not impressing me at all…
Bokke steal the lineout, they dive on Faf… penalty..
Another Bokke penalty, on the Italy 22… in front!
