What a madhouse I had the past 2 days… suddenly being called in by 2 advocates and their instructing attorney to give advise and assist in a Forensic and Analytical Computer investigation on some MacBook Pro and iPhone devices on behalf of clients who are accused of Syndicated fraud and money laundering against SARS ect…
The Forensics involves detailed and very deep inquiry into the Metadata or Exif information and structures of files, folders, E-Mails, Images, Documents… with the intention to expose Metadata editing and manipulation by the Prosecuting Authorities after seizure of these electronic equipment…
Over R 200 Million involved in the charges… 11 accused… and all happening in the High Court in Joburg.
Today I was busy making Hard Drive Images (clones) of ceized MacBook Pro equipment, Images of iPhones ect… and next week the real hard work starts when these Computer Images will be mounted to perform the deep and meticulous analytics… but the money is good!!
So… I missed the Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony as well as the 1st match between Japan and Russia…
But from early morning on Saturday I am at my post here for the 3 nice games on offer… before I have to rush of to attend a wedding in Vanderbijlpark, just after the Bokke game.
Had little sleep… and need to relax, so I hope the rugby is good!!
