So, the Currie Cup Permier Division 2019 Final will be in Bloemfontein next week…
Toyota Free State XV vs Xerox Golden Lions
Free State simply switched up a number of gears from about 10 minutes played in the 2nd half… and absolutely blew the Sharks away!
OK, I am out…
Been a hectic Saturday for me… inspecting my one house after the old tennants had moved out, 3 live rugby matches overlapping on 2 seperate occasions, new tennants and handing keys over and sorting them out… fixed 2 washing lines, bank payments…
I always say that I actually needed to be a set of twins, because then I could have delegated some stuff to another competent partner to help out!
Far too few hands, fingers, eyes and time in one day for me!
Have a good one, folks!
Halftime score was Georgia 3/23 Scotland, still that in 45th min
Scotland scrum about 7m out just right of the right upright. TRY!
Looks like Hutchinson scored the try
Laidlaw slots a tricky conversion:
Georgia 3/30 Scotland – 47th min
48th min Huw Jones on in the centre for Sam Johnson wonder if he will go to outside and Hutchinson switch to inside centre
Good long kick on the penalty takes Georgia just into Scotland 22 and they maul it up
Penalty to Georgia
Georgia lineout 5m out
Georgia go over for try but ref had already blown for a penalty to them
Line out to Georgia 5m out 53rd min
Great defence out wide by Graham flying up
Another penalty to Georgia 10m infield and about 8m from Scotland tryline
Scotland player receiving attention looks like McInally or Watson but he is up again. The penalty was for a high tackle by Gilchrist
Am surprised Townsend hasn’t made any forward subs yet now in 55th min.
entire Georgia front row replaced and they have a scrum close to try line
Georgia score!
Good quick recycling and strong carrying and it looks like the substitute prop scored
Georgia 10/30 Scotland as try was converted – 58th min, Zander Fagerson on for WP Nel
Josh Strauss and Ali Price on for Matt Fagerson and Greg Laidlaw
Bit of a scuffle but it all ends in smiles
TRY! Graham in the right hand corner good passing and then he chased a kick through very well.
Strauss getting bit of treatment but he is up shortly after
Georgia 10/37 Scotland 64th min as Finn Russell has taken over the kicking duties and just pushes the conversion from near the touchline wide.
Scrum penalty to Scotland and its in touch midwayish between Georgia 22 and their tryline
Graham puts in another good tackle to foil a Georgia counter attack after Scotland knocked on, unfortunately Graham got a nasty knock to the head after the tackle but he carries on seems ok
TMO eventually calls for a reply and he got a glancing blow by a boot from the Goergia 23 but to me it was entirely accidental the player was looking forward and the boot to head was behind him as he lost his balance
TMO is happy nothing malicious so Georgia go back to throwing in the line out in Scotland half.
