Due to the bigger importance of the Tests this afternoon, the 2 Currie Cup games (15:00 – Griquas vs Golden Lions and 17:15 – Free State vs Western Province) will not be done live here on Rugby-Talk.com.
So, we’ll do the England vs Ireland match (2 serious contenders for the Rugby World Cup) at 16:00 SA Time, and thereafter we will do the last Currie Cup match of the Open Rounds, between the Blue Bulls vs Sharks at 19:30 SA Time.
Because I have to show my one house to prospective tennants, I will unfortunately not be able to do the Scotland vs France match… it is not on TV in South Africa anyway
Priorities… priorities…. arghhhh
What can I say!
I recon England is preparing well for the World Cup, so I recon they will win at Twickers today!
Just a heads up of a late change by England; Joe Marchant comes in on the bench in place of Jonathan Joseph.
38th min Scotland 3/14 France, two tries for Penaud, the first an intercept after 2 minutes, the 2nd after a mistake by Finn Russell. Sounds like Scotland are just making too many mistakes and although trying to play are doing it from deep inside the half.
Should have post earlier TRY MAITLAND!
Some good play by Scotland’s backs after Kinghorn initially intercepted, try converted by Laidlaw.
Half time: Scotland 10/14 France, game on!
A bit of a concern that Blair Kinghorn is on the field as a replacement for Tommy Seymour, not sure what happened to Seymour but hope it is not serious. Another concern is it sounds as if Sean Maitland has been limping.
Might need to move Chris Harris out to the wing and bring young Rory Hutchinson on in the centre if Maitland is struggling. Even if it is minor it is too close to World Cup to risk aggravating something.
Second half on and soon after the restart another Scotland mistake, sloppy pass
Not good news for Scotland as Blade Thomson has to go off after getting a bang on his head, he has had some concussion problems, hope he is ok.
John Barclay on for him, this makes Scotland pack a lot lighter, hopefully not blown away by the big French pack.
Allan Dell on for Gordon Reid – 49th min
