Brumbies on a run of a number of wins, one after the other… much better than they were at the start of the season.
The Sharks however, are one-dimentional… bash and crash-ball merchants… lucky to be in the Quarters.
The Sharks best moment of the season was to draw against the Crusaders in Christchurch.
Can ONE team win away from home in the Quarters? A very tall task!
Players out on the field…
Game ON!
Kick-Off by the Brumbies!
Try Pete Samu, Brumbies, under the sticks!
Brumbies 7 / 0 Sharks
Sharks penalty on Halfway… but they are tentative in attack…
Shot it is.
Brumbies 7 / 3 Sharks
Try Henry Speight, Brumbies, far right corner.
Brumbies 14 / 3 Sharks
Sharks penalty, against Rory Arnold, high tackle.
Dan du Preez off injured… ribs
Brumbies 14 / 6 Sharks
Tyler Paul also off injured for the Sharks, Koegelenberg on for him.
The Sharks weapon of line bashing loosies gone, with 2 loosies injured and subbed.
I see a longggg game coming for the Sharks.
Brumbies penalty, 5m inside the Sharks half… middle of the field.
Banks will kick for touch.
Penalty advantage… smack bang in front… offside.
Brumbies 17 / 6 Sharks
Brumbies lineout, 10 or 12m out.
Another try, Pete Samu, Brumbies!
Brumbies 24 / 6 Sharks
Brumbies scrum penalty, whole front row collapsing.
Only about 5 or at most 6 players of the Sharks should make the bigger Springbok squad:
– Curwin Bosch (I would not pick him in the bigger squad)
– Sibusiso Nkosi
– Lukhanyo Am
– André Esterhuizen
– Makazole Mapimpi
– Daniel du Preez (I would not pick him in the bigger squad)
Sharks have not looked like scoring a try all of the 1st half.
Sharks penalty, inside the Brumbies 10m line.
Brumbies penalty against Coenie die Boef…
Lemoenetyd
18 Points deficit, 40 minutes to go.
The Sharks not in the game at all and I would not be surprized if the concede more than 40 points in the game.
The Springbok-laden Sharks backline are planless, clueless… look uncoached and probably mostly is. The backline has no penetrating ability, no proper variance in play.
Clearly Sharks play and game plan is based on forwards dominance…
Who would you say are the form-players in the Sharks side?
– Props: None
– Hookers: None
– Locks: Maybe Hyron Andrews is better than most… but he is not Springbok material
– Loosies: Jacques Vermeulen always tries hard and gives his best, but there are so many quality loosies in SA, so he stands no chance
– Scrumhalf: Captain Louis Schreuder is not on form and neither is he Springbok material, his replacement on the bench, Cameron Wright, is a better player according to me.
– Flyhalf: Robert du Preez is just average, Curwin Bosch should make the Bok cut as utility back
– Centres: Both André Esterhuizen and Lukhanyo Am are off the boil at the Sharks
– Wings: Because the backline has no structure or penetrating ability, Nkosi and Mapimpi are not at their best, far from it
– Fullback: No the best…
2nd Half already 3 min old.
