Tapped and popped out with the boot… game over…
Melbourne Rebels (3) 8 / 59 (21) Chiefs (Final Score)
The Melbourne Rebels miss out on the play-offs, stuck on 34 Log Points.
The Brumbies will be the only Australian Conference side to contest in the play-offs.
The Chiefs move up to 36 Log Points and 6th Position overall for now, relegating the Highlanders to 7th spot for now… and into the play-offs for now.
Can’t help but feeling that the Bulls would at least have to get 1 Log Point from their game against the Lions, but for the moment they are still in 5th spot overall.
The Lions need at least a draw (2 Log Points) against the Bulls to make the play-offs, but a win against the Bulls will push them into 5th spot.
Then either the Stormers or the Sharks will advance to the play-offs… unless they draw, in which case it looks like they will both miss out on play-off spots.
Next Super Rugby game is just after midnight tonight, SA Time… Los Jaguares vs Sunwolves.
See you later…

Quite a lot of permutations then still, at least Bulls will know what is required by time of kick off, but for confidence if we are to get into the knockout stages would prefer to get there with a good win.
