The New Zealand sides would do ANYTHING near their own line not to concede a try, cynical infringements, repeated infringements, dirty play… anything!
All New Zealand sides do this… and it is also an intrinsic strategy they have… and it carries right through to the All Blacks.
It comes very close to blatant cheating play, totally against the ethos of the game.
The thing is, they mostly get away with it and are rarely deservedly and sufficiently sanctioned for it.
What I have against it is the fact that it reminds me of criminal activity where a person recons that should he get away with it he has done nothing patently wrong.
A WRONG remains just that, it is still WRONG!
Cheating on your husband or wife does not make it OK if you continue to get away with it… that cheating act is still loathsome!
