Late hit on Hayden Parker, Wolves penalty…
Canes penalty, player isolated, man over the ball.
Not straight into the lineout by the Canes… Wolves scrum.
Canes inability to be clinical, their biggest enemy at the moment.
Canes penalty again, and I think it is already the 3rd penalty earned by TJ Perenara over the ball.
Sunwolves 23 / 10 Hurricanes
Lemoenetyd
Apart from the Crusaders, who are miles ahead of all Super Rugby sides, it seems all of the other Nea Zealand sides have their issues this season as well…
Chiefs not on song in 2019.
Blues playing a bit better but not up there yet.
Highlanders not on song in 2019
Hurricanes very beatable without their All Blacks playmakers and still with a very questionable forwards pack… but looking good on the overall Log so far.
The Sharks could make a massive leap to the top of the SA Conference Log in the next game (against the Reds), with the Bulls having a bye weekend this week… should they beat the Reds well!
They could also leap to 2nd on the overall Log if the Hurricanes lose against the Sunwolves or 3rd if the Canes win here…
2nd Half ON!
The basics done very well by the Sunwolves….
Canes penalty, man in front of the chip-kick.
Not managing to kick out…
Wolves defensive scrum, 6m from their own line.
A 13-point lead could evaporate in 4 minutes, so the Sunwolves better buckle down and continue the 1st half momentum.
Try Ben Lam, Canes!
Sunwolves 23 / 15 Hurricanes
Canes penalty again, kicked out on about halfway.
Massive tackle by Semisi Masirewa of the Wolves… and he also earns a Wolves penalty!
It is very kickable… posts!
Missed…
Wolves penalty again, offside at the lineout.
This time Hayden Parker kicks for touch.
Canes have looked all out of sorts in this game…
Lots of senseless kicking, both sides…
Charge-down try Chase Tiatia, Canes!
Gerhard van den Heever’s kick charged…
Try is good… and awarded.
Sunwolves 23 / 22 Hurricanes
And that is exactly what I talked about… the lead has evaporated… it is now a 1-point game.
Wes Goosen chips straight into touch… otherwise there could have been more trouble for the Wolves…
Canes playing with much more verve now… and the Sunwolves batteries seem to be going flat… like the Energizer bunny and his opponent… hahaha
16 Long minutes to go in the match.
Knock by the Canes at the base of the scrum…
Canes scrum penalty… then it is reversed… for foul play and ill dicipline.
