When there was talk earlier in the week of his return to the team thought it off as McNicholl is very good and was dangerous against Glasgow, he fits well into Scarlets game plan whereas Halfpenny was Mr reliable with the boot. In the end both were selected so thought coach had things covered. The only issue would have had if was a Wales supporter is what message did that send to Patchell their other kicker maybe you are not considered good enough yet in this situation to handle the goal kicking pressure so fall back on Halfpenny. For Patchell to progress he needs to be trusted with the responsibility in big high pressure games like this.
