Yes thought that was what the commentators would have said, don’t know if it’s the same there but sports commentators sport talk show hosts etc here can exaggerate to make things seem more exciting it’s as if they feel their jobs depend on them making games more interesting/exciting/controversial than they are to generate more interest.
