The heart and passion of the Springboks was evident today…. and should be every time they play!!
Well… to be honest, I was dreading the scoreline before the game…
Now we need the Springboks to build on this performance.
Lessons learnt:
1. Beast is done, Kitsie is the man at loosehead prop!
2. Ruan Dreyer is NOT the answer at tighthead, maybe Wilco Louw is the way forward
3. Heart and passion, guts and glory, grit and determination is vital, vital, vital!!!
4. The loose trio today had much more balance
5. Springbok wings are still not sorted and Courtnall Skosan is very brittle on defence
6. Damian de Allende is not Springbok material
7. Ross Cronjé is way better than Francois Hougaard (Hougie is over the hill)
All Blacks players who did not stand out:
Sam Cane
Scott Barrett
Nepo Laulala
Matt Todd
pretty much summed up my thoughts and I didn’t even watch the game. I had my heart in my mouth about the new loose trio combination but for the rest of your observations I’m pretty much in agreement.
Despite the 1-point loss by the Springboks, this is how we want to see the Bokke attitude… this should be the way forward… this is a game plan and methodology whith could revive Springbok rugby for years forward.
This is much more the blueprint to use than anything we have seen in 2 years!!

If you can, watch a re-run of this match…
Remember, there is still ONE Rugby Championship match left…. tonight later at 00:40 SA Time… Argentinian Los Pumas vs Australian Wallabies, in Mendoza, Argentina!
Goooooooooo Los Pumas!
Howdy from Durbs – we still have a few trees left, mostly sans boughs; going into my 3rd day without electricity
