I’ve gone for NZ by 15.
Surely it cannot be a blowout like Albany again.
Just hope it’s a great game.
All NZ rugby enthusiasts I speak to, agree the current situation in SH Rugby is not good for the game.
Even though we all admire the sublime and silky skills of the likes of Beauden Barrett, and feel privileged to have witness them, we would rather have the tension, stress and anxiety of Test Matches in past years.
In 1970 we only scored 35 points in the entire 4 match series.
I know the Boks will be infinitely better this week, line-out problems will be addressed and the Bench looks strong.
Its backs to the wall.
The All Blacks will win this one, but the hope is that the Springboks are much better than a few weeks ago in New Zealand.
One lives in hope, I suppose!
All Blacks out on the field.
Springboks also out on the field.
Anthems up next… New Zealand Anthem will be up 1st!
@ grootblousmile:
hullo GB.
You doing the commentary on this one boet. Chilling in the country with no TV today. But then who needs Mr Mallett and Co when we have you?
@ grootblousmile: Its the pits when one already knows the result before a ball’s kicked in anger. Ne?
Nkosi up next…
6 @ Tassies:
Helllooooooooooo
Yip, EXACTLY!
Anthems done…
Now for the Haka….
let’s see which Haka is served up…
I have three zillion cape weavers in their reed nests not 10 feet from the stoep here, all chirping for the Boks. Damn they’re good and loud little buggers. Not quite Newlands loud but a suitable substitute.
Right. Kick-off must be soon.
Go Bokke.
Kamate it is… the lessor feared one…
I’ll miss that Haka. Always special.
@ grootblousmile:
So they’re taking a chill-pill on this one GB? Dead rubber syndrome.
Game ON!
Kick-Off by the All Blacks!
better find a glass of wine before the sh1t hits the fan.
All Blacks pass out to touch… scrum or lineout option for the Bokke!
Bokke opt to scrum on their own 10m line.
15 @ Tassies:
Still a Bokke / All Blacks test… and it is always good!
Bokke scrum penalty, on their own 10m line.
Squire steals the ground ball… and the All Blacks almost makes it to the Bokke line…
Bokke manage to steal back near their own line and kicks for touch!
THAt is the difference… All Blacks counter-attack… Bokke kick to touch!!
Knock by the All Blacks in the lineout, Bokke scrum just on All Blacks side of Halfway.
Solid Bokke scrum again…
Bokke penalty, kickable… against Sam Whitelock!
Posts it is…
Springboks 3 / 0 All Blacks
Not a whitewash this time…
All Blacks penalty, Etzebeth offside from the Francois Louw knock at the kick-off receipt.
This one also at posts by Barrett…
lack of skills lately coupled to a self-confidence deficit is the deference between the two teams currently. A huge gap it is.
