Hougaart does not belong in Bok squad on performance, is there no one else?

  • 122

not sure how to feel about that one. A draw is like kissing your sister. Ask Morne. But much better 2nd half, even if it only started happening with 20 to go.

  • 123

If i listen to Nick in studio, the ABs won twice today, on their own and now with Glen Jackson, forcing this draw on us.

  • 124

OK, let’s analize who played well and who did not.

Beast Mtawarira: Not great, time for the old timer to make way I think
Malcolm Marx: Started a bit quiet, stole a few balls, came into the match more and more
Coenie Oosthuizen: Mixed bag but not shabby… made many tackles
Eben Etzebeth: Did what he needed to do, not exceptional though
Pieter-Steph du Toit: Very good game, my Bokke Man of The Match
Siya Kolisi: Quiet to start but grew in the game
Jaco Kriel: Too quiet but stole a vital one or two balls
Uzair Cassiem: Far too quiet today
Ross Cronjé: Did not shine but not shabby
Elton Jantjies: I have a huge problem with him not managing to kick balls out the whole game. Was he instructed not to… Aussies dangerous on the counter every time off those kicks
Courtnall Skosan: Far too quiet and did not look for enough work
Jan Serfontein: Good on defence, solid but does not have that zip and x-factor anymore
Jesse Kriel: Solid on defence, mixed bag as far as the rest is concerned
    Raymond Rhule: Mixed bag
Andries Coetzee: Not his best day at the office

    120 @ cane:
Yes… looking forward to that one, old foes going toe to toe!

  • 126

Bokke defence not bad, dicipline not too bad…

Failure to be clinical enough when on attack and convert the opportunities presented.

  • 127

Nick Mallett agrees on what I said about Jantjies…

  • 128

so….some positives certainly. But we need a dramatic improvement in our handling skills and kicking out of hand(Mr Jantjies). Both were very poor on balance. Kolisi and Pieter Stef were immense.

  • 129

Rather unimaginative like performance from the Boks I thought.
Bad decision making. Defensive mindset. Kicking out all balls.
Apart from 1st move of game no backline play whatsoever.

Looked like bad WP rugby. Had many chances to take this game.
None better than a 5m penalty after killing Aus in the scrum. Not taken.

    Nah… far from convinced.

  • 130

by kicking out all balls, i mean, giving away possession 4/5 times.

  • 131

Kriel is not be the answer at 13

  • 132

    Lack of cohesion. Lame gameplan.
    Lots of commitment.

  • 133

    and a thousand unforced errors.

  • 134

    @ shooter:
    129
i went out but that is exactly what i thought too. Real old defensive WP game

  • 135

Jip. no oomph in the end. Will win you the odd game.
But a step in the wrong direction against slightly better oppo.
This gameplan is not gonna give NZ any sleepless nights

  • 136

Where the hell are our runners, line-breaks, forward support play, decision making, hands/ handling,
    offloading, clean outs………………………………..

Mostly…. we never owned or dominated anything in this game.

  • 137

we have no real great rugby mind on the pitch…..
    physically we’re fine.

  • 138

have a good one here >> groetnis
