2nd Half ON!
Kings penalty for a high tackle.
Maar dis belaglik dat die reels net streng op SA spanne toegepas word. Hul kruip , rol, doen net wat hul wil. Maar sodra ons spanne dit doen is dit penalties
@ grootblousmile:
@39 then that should be brought to the refs attention by the Kings captain if the ref and his touch judges are not seeing it, or at least try get an explanation from him why he is letting it go on.
Knocked by Connaught in the lineout, Kings scrum.
Watch the Connaught props… for infringements here!!
Connaught scrum, after the Kings scrummie knocked.
GBS i am leaving tired of this , will chat again. Hope when i leave the Kings go on and win. Remember i also believe i am due to win the Lotto. Dreams are good friends
Connaught scrum penalty again… Kings captain called up, final team warning!
Connaught 27 / 5 Kings
Buckley’s direct opponent Rossouw de Klerk has spent quite a bit of time up north, first with Glasgow playing PRO12 and then in France so he should have a good idea about the refs here. But I guess scrumming is a collective effort and with the Kings put together so recently they will take time to develop as a unit, plus my concern all along anyway has been that the Kings would be bullied here as they could be underpowered at lock. If you look at the squad they have brought on this mini tour I think it has only one specialist lock the rest are loose forwards who play lock sometimes. This is no criticism just an observation as they have done well to get a squad together to join the PRO14 in such a short time.
47 @ Bullscot:
True… but the REFEREE should know his own scrum LAWS!!
Captain should not teach him, just remind and alert him…. if he wants to listen!
Buckley replaced by Denis Coulson.
@ grootblousmile:
When I was writing about the captain checking on the scrumming I checked as I thought it was centre Francois Venter who was back for this game, but I see from the team sheets you have that the captain is hooker Willemse and Venter is not in the squad. Did they say if Venter was pulled out a short notice with injury.
A Kings player down, receiving serious attention…
56 @ Bullscot:
Francois Venter is the Toyota Cheetahs Captain, does not play for the Kings at all.
Francois Venter captained the Cheetahs in the match before this one, against Munster.

You are right there, but a big part of a captain’s role is his ‘management of the ref’ during the game. Not watching and don’t know much about the dark smelly place that is the front row anyway so probably wouldn’t help anyway if I could watch.
Kings player stretchered off… I did not see who it was.
