@ superBul:
Yes I agree. But not in this first half. That last try was hard work. Too hard. The Canes are a very dangerous attacking team. Add a potent defence to that and you get what we’re witnessing. The Lions are going to have to change their strategy drastically or the scoreline is simply going to widen by the end of the second 40.
@ Tassies:

Yes you are right, but damn i am a Bull and now the Lions get my support and maybe curse…. Watch it, Peyper must at least prove the NZ press accurate. Watch his mood swing hahahaha
@ cane:
Howzit Caner. You’re being very generous. If the Lions turn this around I’ll be a very happy man but I simply don’t have that vision just now.
2nd Half ON!
@ superBul:
Peyper is actually running this game very well I think. The flow’s good and he’s not the dominant force. Just fair.
Lions penalty… on halfway… kicked to touch!
Lions maul… battling to make ground…
Lions close…. very close!
Tryyyyyyy Lions, Ross Cronjé!!
@ Tassies:
If you take out Ardie Savea’s “gift Try”, the half time score would be 10 / 15.
Lions just have to eliminate errors. And it may be a good idea to stop kicking possesion away.
Lions 17 / 22 Hurricanes
and SB, I think you guys have everything to look forward to. Mitchell’s appointment is going to result in Bulls supporters returning to Loftus in masses. Then you can stop supporting the Lions.
Game on again, folks!!
So……..the plot thickens. Will I be forced to eat my words. Hope so.
and there is always the altitude factor. Forgot about that little dynamic.
Lions penalty again… their own side of halfway… so they kick for touch!
Lions maul… right tactics against the less abrasive Canes pack!
Shields earns a penalty over the ball for the Canes… 6m from their own line!
Good start to the 2nd half by the Lions.
@ cane:
one can look at it like that. But on balance, the Canes looked by far the better team in the first half. Attack. Defense. Composure. Even stole a few lineouts which was not expected.
Massive touchfinder by Ruan Combrinck!!
but I do think the game has turned. Early days but there is life in that Lion yet.
Andries Coetzee also kicks for territory, out just outside the Canes 22.
My goodness. Van Rooyen should have scored. Amazing defense. Again.
Jacques van Rooyen almost with his 2nd try… held up… but back for a Lions penalty for offside… popped into the corner!
looked like a touchdown to me. And it is.
Try Lions!!
Malcolm Marx!!
Level, kick to come!
And Rasta joins the show
Lions 22 / 22 Hurricanes
This is a great game.
Even stevens now.
Try Vince Aso, Canes!
until the fat lady sings
