Hurricanes $1.55
tempting isn’t it!

Hi Cane,
As a total non-gambling man, I do not understand those odds… explain to a layman like me, please!
Does it mean that if you bet $ 1.00 on a Lions win, you get $ 2.45 back… and if you bet @ 1.00 on a Canes win you get 1.55 back?
If so, then it surely means according to the bookmakers that the Canes are betting favourites, therefore the shorter odds on them??
Dane Coles takes the field for his 100th cap!
He is followed by the Canes team mates!
Lions now also on the park!
Goooooooooo Lions!!
Game ON!
Kick-Off by the Lions!
@ grootblousmile:
All correct.
That’s why it is so temping.
I assume that the “Bookies” are forced to factor in Local Bias.
i.e. 80% of the money in NZ will go on the Canes (just a guess). Therefore they cannot risk offering “Evens”. To them it’s a financial calculation, based solely on making a profit. Not a true or even realistic indication of the Match outcome.
I would think that Lions should be favourites.
Lions kickable penalty, in on the side by Vaea Fifita.
Elton jantjies for goal… it is inside the Canes 10m area!
Lions 3 / 0 Hurricanes
Beauden Barrett duffs the kick-off… directly out, scrum on the middle spot, Lions ball!
Try TJ Perenara, Canes!
@ grootblousmile:
The thin Veld air. Groot.
Home advantage is huge.
Hi i made it earlier, still trying to find my feet, will watch and start talking soon. Damn Lions these guys is potent, any lose lying ball will end up behind your goal posts
Lions 3 / 5 Hurricanes
That’s more like it.
This could be an enthralling game.
Canes ground ball penalty, man over the ball… holding on!
Just outside the Canes 22.
Try Wes Goosen, Canes!
Beauden Barrett making the huge break at breakneck speed!
Lions 3 / 12 Hurricanes
@ cane:
Hi Old friend, the Lions will be exposed here. Not a good draw, not playing any NZ TEAM in the competition
Andries Coetzee kicks one dead… scrum wayyyyyy back, Canes ball!
Canes 5m lineout, as Jantjies is forced out to touch!
The Hurricanes are extremely dangerous with ball in hand!
Lions steal 2 Canes lineoutd in a row…
Rules for The Lions to win this Match:
Rule Number 1: Don’t give Beauden space to run.
Rule Number 2: See rule number 1.
Rule Number 3: Refer to the above.
Lions will have to play more with their forwards… they seem to have the more abrasive pack.
At the back, the Canes rule the roost…
@ superBul:
I think it will be a very even match Bully.
Maybe the best Match of the Tournament.
Hurricanes almost through again…
Canes penalty, 10m out!
Lions 3 / 15 Hurricanes
Drop attempt by Andries Coetzee… not even close!
Canes steal Lions lineout ball…
The Hurricanes flinging the ball around at will…
Again they are almost through!
This could become a very, very long afternoon for the Lions and their fans!
Canes doing everything at speed!!
Fantastic to watch!
