try France. I almost believe they deserve it with so much possession. But the Bok performance has been simply extrodinary. I really wasn’t expecting it. Progress yes but not what we’re witnessing.
Springboks 30 / 15 France
See, that try was a direct result of bad kick-off receipt…
France penalty, offside by Pieter-Steph du Toit.
Bokke penalty, against Camara… on the Bokke 10m line.
Bokke will have to work hard at securing more possession for next week’s test… France have had massive possession advantage in this game.
Try Elton Jantjies, Bokke!
Under the sticks….
Great break by Kolisi!
Springboks 37 / 15 France
Seconds to go…
France penalty, Kolisi offside…
Hougie hacks it out… game over!
South African Springboks (23) 37 / 15 (7) France (Final Score)
GB I don’t know what to say. That probably goes down as one of the best Bok performances I’ve seen in a very long time if ever. I really am speechless. MOM? Maybe Kolisi? Shit he was fantastic.
A win by 22 points, despite having very little possession…
Who wuld you award Man Of The Match to?
Kolisi
Marx
Franco Mostert
Elton Jantjies
I would make it Kolisi or Marx
my sense is; the belief is starting to return. We always knew we had the talent (in spades) but we lacked world class coaching and management. Something has changed. That is apparent. This was an very inspiring performance. For all the right reasons.
Kolisi indeed gets the Man Of The Match award!

Still not perfect, but the attitude and the energy is there… and the systems of defence and attack certainly got a great deal of attention!
But mostly I am over the moon about the spirit, the gees, the attitude, the cohesiveness, players playing for each other and for the team!
Folks… we still have ONE MORE GAME tonight…
Argentina vs England
It is at 21:15 SA Time (16:15 Arg Time, 20:15 UK Time, 19:15 GMT)
Will be interesting to hear what Nick Mallett and Naas Botha have to say about the Bokke performance…
169 Tackles made by the Bokke against 58.
Just shows how hard the Bokke had to work on defence!!
I would not change this team for the 3rd Test. Just their collective commitment does not warrent any change at all. It would be counter-productive.
How do you bolster this team more?
Maybe add Ruan Combrinck in place of Raymond Rhule (not that Rhule has been bad, not at all). Would not tinker on the backline more than that…
In the forwards… I think Oupa Mohoje will be out for a number of weeks… so I would bring Jaco Kriel into the group, maybe Ruan Dreyer…
There Jean de Villiers agrees with me on both Jaco Kriel and Ruan Dreyer…
@ grootblousmile:
GB this is a team which can be classically described as a work in progress. With this particular example, the progess is distinctly apparent and the trajectory is sharply upward. It is very obvious. They can only get better. I am once again enthused by Springbok rugby. Its in the right hands I sense and I’d expect the AB’s to start paying more attention about what’s happening south of the Limpopo.
Weak points in the Bokke?
Beast and his scrumming and work rate, maybe…
Lack of a 2nd flyhalf…
Good result for the Boks. Looks like a good rugby day all with Scotland winning too.
well well well
poor French
and an improved Bok side
good work in defense
the springboks recall me the Saracens here in europe
consistent pack
great and agressive defense
organised in the ruck
efficiency in attack
courageous 9 and flyhalf
kicking and high balls to improve + some combination in attack
but a team in the good direction
French barbarians against Boks A
