The one-off runners off the rucks by the Lions not impressing me.
Lions over, held up!
5m Lions scrum, just before halftime.
Laidlaw almost over…
Lions penalty, No 12 offside… smack bang in front, 5m out… they opt to scrum!
Over the line… held up…
Lemoenetyd!!
Got to commend the Barbarians on defence!!
Well, well, well… the Lions trail at halftime, against a mish-mash, 2nd tier team of upcoming New Zealand players.
It is as if the Lions play a very South African type of game, running over players in stead of running into space and trying to physically overpower the other team… also not offloading in the tackle, but rather playing the game at a bit of a slower and more deliberate pace.
@ grootblousmile:
Lions held up over the try line at least 3 times.
Surely the flood gates must open in the second half.
NZ Provincial Baabaa’s were at odds of 40 to 1 before kickoff.
Lions #8 Taulupe Faletau MOM the far.
Hello all from sunny Portugal
2nd Half ON!
Early days but the Lions is not playing like a team. Warburton also not taking charge. Not unusual for Lions sides to struggle in their first match.
When I posted last night Lions win by 12 it was on the bass of expecting a disjointed performance from the Lions who have not been long in the country. BUT at that point didn’t think would be able to watch the game if I had then may have made a different prediction as last year when watched the Boks here they lost…
38 @ cane:
Bryn Gatland so far my Man Of The Match!
Kicking for goal. Clearly got the message “secure the match”.
Greig Laidlaw slots a Lions penalty!
NZ Barbarians 7 / 6 Lions
Goooooo Baabaas!!!!!!!
Lions picking up the pace. Some more urgency and directness.

Think Teo has been the best back for the Lions so far. Sexton is having a nightmare.
Barbarians unconventional game and options flummaxing the Lions so far…
Baabaas penalty, high tackle…
Morning Bully & Evening McLook!
Hoe gaan dit met julle 2?
Who is this Baabaas coach? Must get a lot of credit for how he has set his team up to play with players from all over and little time to prepare.
Bigggg hit on Alun Wyn-Jones!
Hahaha
THAT was magnifiscent!
Expect Kruis to come on and make a big impact
52 @ Bullscot:
Williamson, I think… no it is Clayton McMillan!
@ grootblousmile:
Thanks Gbs a good Scottish coach then
Mass subs by the Lions, whole front row… and 1 or 2 others… including Kruis!
56 @ Bullscot:
He’s got huge ears… really…
Sure if the wind blows hard, his head must tend to turn with the wind, like a wind sock!
Try Lions, Anthony Watson, right wing!
Much better direction with Farrell on
