Gridiron by the Baabaas as their number 12 tackles Hogg off the ball about a metre behind the ruck on Lions side I really don’t like this tactic that so many NZ coached teams employ
91 @ Bullscot:
Yeah, they all do… and very few referees even give it a glance!
@ BrumbiesBoy:
Good man hope work not too busy enjoy the rugby later then
Another Baabaas scrum, this time just inside the Lions 22… and middle of the pitch… great attacking position!
Tighthead… eish!
Baabaas penalty, offside at the ruck
3 Minutes to go in the match
@ grootblousmile:
#92 yeah it is annoying they get away with it seen Irish teams who have NZ coaching influence do it a lot. Was surprised when Vern Cotter came to Scotland that we didn’t really see it from Scotland, one of the many reasons I have so much time for big Vern.
Oh dear come on Lions
Another Baabaas penalty, on the Lions 10m line… kicked to touch!
93 @ Bullscot:
Cheers boet, you too.
Good defence of the maul by the Lions
Lions turnover scrum…
Think THAT was the last realistic Baabaas chance gone begging!
Lions scrum Free Kick!
Game over… Lions scrape a win!
A lot of lamenting the Lions performance but now quite rightly some praise for the Baabaas performance who really got stuck in.
Think the Lions fitness may be a concern to the coaching team, saw many of them struggling to get their breath quite early in the first half
Swimming pool and maybe beach beckons cheers all enjoy rest of the rugby

107 @ Bullscot:

Warburton a bit absent in this match, in my opion.
110 @ BrumbiesBoy:
Cheers Perdjie!
Goooooi Mieliessssssss!!
Congratulations Lions.
A win is a win.
Traditionally The Lions always struggle in their opening Match.
Well done the NZP Baabaa’s. They played to win and in the spirit of Barbarian Rugby.
Next up The Blues on Wednesday.
I wish the Lions well and it’s great to have a “Tour” in the Country again. Only happens with The Lions these days. Most games sold out.
The Lions will get better. Much better. They better.
Gatland Senior won today. But Gatland Junior can hold his head high. I do hope they all have a beer together after this. Special day for all concerned.
