Razzle dazzle try for blues. Two offloads
Blues 22 / 16 B & I Lions
Lions in serious poo now.
4 Minutes left in the game!
Great to see All International Officials so early in The Tour.
Gives both sides a plenty of time to get to know their peculiarities.
Only a converted try will save the Lions blushes here….
Blues defensive penalty, 6m from their own line… holding on!
Lions showing grit now.
Not a great touchfinder by West!
Lions momentum stopped by referee. 2 minutes to go.
90 Seconds… Blues have the ball!
Tick tock. Blues just holding onto the ball now.
Lions vital penalty, on the Blues 22!!
Lineout drive coming up.
Kicked out, 10m out…
Lions mess the lineout up…. Blues have it…. they hack it out for the win!!!
Lions hooker just rob them of a change to drive for a win. Very poor throw in.
Blues (12) 22 / 16 (10) British & Irish Lions (Final Score)
So, a 6-point Blues win….
Lions look shell shocked. NZ not an easy place to tour.
… and the Blues are New Zealand’s worst of 5 Super Rugby franchises….

Now compare that to Aussie or South African rugby… could one EVER foresee the Southern Kings beating a British & Irish Lions team…. or for that matter the Melbourne Rebels or Western Force doing so??
Lions took on too much to chew on this tour. Absurd tour iternity. Whoever agree to this tour plan should cop some of the forthcoming critisism.
So the B&I Lions are singing the Blues today!!!! Gatland had better find his best team soon, because it’s not going to get any easier.

Lions have only been in NZ for 7 days.
Still very early days. Don’t judge them too harshly just yet.
And in my opinion they improved dramaticly on their 1 st game.

Mainstay Cane…. the Warrenball Game plan for the Lions might work ANYWHERE in the world, but not in New Zealand…

Agree. Lions played a lot better. Blues scored some razzle dazzle tries ; not realy well contructed tries. So there was some luck. However, lions just to stereotype and predictable on attack.
Not sure how they are going to develop into a team that can win the AB. Is a pitty cause I would really like a tight contested test series
