Hi Scrumdown. Seems like they have been more lenient recently up north, think have already seen some high ones in the Six Nations go unpunished according to the new laws and in Pro12 e.g. apparently Ulster got away with a number of these tackles last weekend. Maybe the refs have settled in to how they should be applied or they have made conscious decision to be lenient or they are just being plain inconsistent.
