just witness that Canes defence. With 5 mins to go noggal and the game in the bag!!!!!!!!!!
4 Minutes to go… the fat lady is wearing BLACK and GOLD!
Not straight in lineout. Eish.
Not a single point by the Lions in the 2nd half… yet!
Well played ‘Canes. You were better on the night.
Canes scrum. Big tick.
Canes lineout. Big tick.
Canes defence. Big tick.
Canes tactical kicking. Big tick.
Victory deserved.
Canes now closing the game out…
Canes penalty… that will eat up more time, followed by the Canes lineout…
1 minute to go.
1 Minute to go…
Canes still have the ball… clever, clever, clever!
Seconds to go…
whistle and deserved champions. No doubt about it.
Canes penalty… they throw their hands in the air… kick out and win!
Plumtree taking the Canes to super trophy. Eat your heart out John Smith.
okay boys, things to do. I’m outta here.
Have a lovely weekend.
cheers
Well done Hurricanes.
Deserved winners.
Comprehensively dominated the final.

Well done Hurricanes!
Now EVERY New Zealand Franchise has won at least 1 Super Rugby title…
Cheers all.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Canes just had to much fire power. More clinical at scrum, lineout, with tactical kicking and on defence. Game plan was also spot on.
OK folks… I am also outa here, need to go pick someone up in Boksburg at 12:00… then go to the big building places, Game, and Pick ‘n Pay… in time to be back for the 15:00 SA Time Currie Cup game between Boland Cavaliers vs Toyota Free State Cheetahs!!
Tjorts!
I am still proud of my boys. Well done on a great season. Hurricanes deserved this win.

Tjorts. See you folks later.
1 Bridge too far for the Lions…
They should have gone for the 1st Place on the Log, to have had the opportunity to play the Final at home and not in New Zealand…
But hey…. hindsight is perfect sight!!
@ Lion4ever:
Well said Lionman.
Well said.
Best TwoTeams made the Final.
But the “travel factor” always made it “advantage Canes”.
Just as it did against the Sharkies in the QF, and the Chiefies in the Semi.
The Sharkies scored Zero, nada, nothing, zilch. So your lot did 3 times better than them.
Be Proud of yours. I would be.
Lions MOM, (in my humble opinion).
Faf de Clerk.
Canes MOM, (also IMHO).
Brad Shields.
With Ardie Savea an honourable mention.
My Player of the Super Rugby Season was of course Beauden.
Ackermann’s decision to send a “B” to Argentina would now appear to have been perhaps a crucial error.
Don’t be disheartened Lions fans.
They say,
before you can WIN a Final,
first you have to SEE a Final.
Then you have to BE in a Final.
THEN YOU ARE READY.
Took us 20 years.
@ cane:
Heartiest mate, your team fully deserved it on the night!
No question about it.
And sympathies to the Lions’ fans but their team just wasn’t in it, much the same as mine wasn’t in the QFs.
Roll on next year…
