Hurricanes 10 / 3 Lions
Lions on the scoreboard.
25 minutes into first half.
Lions penalty… and a few handbags, nothing serious.

It’s a hard game… big hits in defence by both sides!
Beauden Barrett easily winning the flyhalf battle at the moment, Canes forwars fronting up hard…. and in the forwards was where one would have thought the Lions would have had good advantage…
Line speed defence of the Canes bloody effective!
Lions scrum, 6m out!
Lions need a massive scrum now!
Lions scrum penalty, offside by Ardie Savea… very offside.
He swims up the side of the scrum each time… illegally!
Lions opt to scrum!
Massive Canes scrum, they get the relieving penalty!
That scrum was a big surprize!!
Barrett kick charged down… Canes recover the ball and James Marshall hacks it out from inside his goal area.
Canes relieving penalty, inside their own 22.
Canes hurting Lions on the tackle. Lions getting increasingly more tentative on attack.
Lions lost the battle at the breakdown in the first half.
Last lineout before halftime… Lions ball, inside their own 22.

Tense game. Still anybody’s game.

It’s tight for sure. Elton under HUGE pressure all the time.
That rush defence is potent.
Defensive line speed of Canes is taking Jantjies out of the game. Barrett also rush up on no13 boxing Jantjies in; reducing his options.
2nd Half ON!
Dane Coles off injured… subbed!
Come on Lions!
Coles off. Ribs again.
Canes again demolish the Lions scrum.
Camping in Lions 22.
Must be a concern the Lions start the half seven points behind. Are they fit enough to make up the deficit and pull ahead or will the trip across have taken that little bit out of them.
88 @ Bullscot:
Lions are probably the FITTEST Super Rugby side in total, in 2016…

Hi guys am not watching so it is interesting to read you think it is tight, for me it feels like the Lions have a lot of work to do and the Hurricanes have a fairly comfortable lead considering the conditions and the fact they are at home
