Expected weather: Chilly evening in Melbourne with a high of 7°C. There will also be a slight breeze coming from the south.
Referee: Craig Joubert (South Africa)
Assistant Referees: Nigel Owens (Wales), Mike Fraser (New Zealand)
TMO: Glenn Newman (New Zealand)
one of the all-time best defensive efforts I have seen. Extraordinary.
Interesting game… and it could still go either way…
I think the bulldog just arrived back in England rugby. I’m no England fan but you have to give credit where credit’s due. Hell Eddie, can’t you find somewhere else to amuse yourself. Georgia maybe?
10 Minutes to go in the game…
63 @ Tassies:
Hello Tasse, how the hell are you?
England replacements on, thick and fast… some new legs… but frozen brains?
Japan 13/26 Scotland but not good as WP Nel limps off and is replaced by Moray Low. 65th min. Denton on as sub for Wilson too.
Wallabies work their way patiently up the field… up to the England 10m line… then a turnover and it all ends with an Owen Farrell try behind the sticks!
Some sloppy play costing Scotland as they try intricate passing and knock on during a promising counter attack
Wallabies 7 / 20 England
Swinson on for Richie Gray who must be tired after playing last weekend in French Top 14 semi final
@ Tassies:
How will Eddie be dressed for the after match Press Conference.
– Rising Sun Cap.
– Springbok Blazer (curtesy of Brian Habana).
– England Jersey.
– Australian Neck Tie.
And a money bag containing 30 pieces of silver.
Cheika / Eddie ……………………………….should be great TV.
🙄
So… Egland will have the series win in Australia…
Howzit GB. Australia play most of the rugby and yet comfortably lose the Test. Is there something we should learn from this maybe?
Engalnd penalty… kickable.. to cause the Wallas even more pain.
Oh Carol.
You must be almost org……………………
74 @ Tassies:
Accuracy… and no errors… and dicipline!
Wallabies 7 / 23 England
Congrates England.
As Tassies said………………………………..The bulldog has its bite back.
Australian Wallabies (7) 7 / 23 (10) England (Final Score)
I better get building on the Springboks / Ireland live game article…
It will be up in about 10 min…
Well done England. That is what is called a classic team effort. No stars I can pick. Simply all stars. Eddie must be a bloody magician.
@ Tassies:
Pure will power and grit.
Australia should have been able to win this given possession and time in the oppositions half.
@ grootblousmile:
Jip. I always said; rugby is a 15 man game. It’s not simply about the scattering of stars in a team that counts. Its about team. The 1995 Boks proved that. This England side has few, if any, stars that stand out. No Jonny Wilkinsons or Martin Johnstones or Wil Carlings. Farrell is about as close as you get to a star and I wouldn’t put him in the category of the aforementioned.
Japan 13/26 Scotland final score
Not good second half with only 6 points scored after the early try a few minutes into it
@ Bullscot:
Thanks for keeping us up to date there BullyJock.
@ cane: Howzit Caner. Good win for your boys again. Some brilliant tries. And THAT kick???? Where do you guys breed these 10’s?
Oz had plenty of opportunities. Fluffed too many must be said. But the real stand-out was the impenetrable England defence. That magic Eddie wand maybe?
Not a bad effort by The Jocks.
They just beat the only Team in The World,
with a 100% winning record against the mighty Springboks.
🙂
Scotland will be concerned with both first choice props limping off. Wonder what they will do if Dickinson and Nel can’t make next weeks test. Will Allan Dell get a call up? Really hope they don’t disrupt the U20s and call up Zander Fagerson
