Emirates LionsEmirates Lions Head Coach, Johan Ackermann, has announced his team to play the Blues at Emirates Airline Park on Saturday.

The team sees 4 changes from the side that was heavily defeated by the Hurricanes, with Malcolm Marx and Julian Redelinghuys returning to form the 1st choice front row.

The Emirates Lions will have their regular front row back in action when they host the Blues at Emirates Airline Park on Saturday 14 May at 19:15 SA Time with both Malcolm Marx and Julian Redelinghuys back in the starting line-up.

Both have been out due to injuries and replaces Akker van der Merwe and Pieter Scholtz respectively in the front row.

Ross Cronjé gets the nod with Faf de Klerk moving to the bench.

At centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg will partner Lionel Mapoe in midfield with Howard Mnisi moving to the bench.

A new face among the reserves is new recruit Sylvian Mahuza who has been in action for the Xerox Golden Lions XV in the Currie Cup Qualifying round.

In the curtain raiser Parktown Boys High takes on St Benedicts at 16:30 SA Time and both teams’ school bands will perform ahead of their game.
