Really good player Barrett I have been thinking for quite a while. Will he step up out of Carter’s shadow now or is Cruden the one he has to surpass. Quite lucky NZ.
28 @ Bullscot:
It is not rocket science, just freegin hard toil!
… and one has to sand with and in direction of the grain, at a steady pace… then there are no problems.
Where the surface is worn, there won’t be much left of any surface coat / varnish… where not so worn, one has to use scrapers a lot to scrape off as much as possible of the previous varnish or previous cover, otherwise one would just end up clogging up the sander belts the whole time.
So, we scraped first, then “washed” (read rubbed hard) the surface with thinners, it evaporates and dries quicker than turpentine would, to clear the surface of cloggable material, then saw to it that all previous nails were down flush (so one has to prepare the surface 1st). We left it to dry properly… and then sanded.
One sands 1st with a rough 40 grit sandpaper belt, then one moves to 80 grit, then to 100 grit… so one sands the floor 3 times, top to bottom! 1st Sanding exposes the true wood, and the 2nd and third sanding is to finish it nicely and smoothly.
When finished sanding one really, really cleans the floor of any, any possible wood dust… then one puts the Epoxy-type sealer on, which uses a hardner in the process (freegin expensive stuff). One puts the epoxy on with a soft cheap broom which one wraps in a cloth (which would not give off any lint). So one ends up giving the floor one nice thick coat only! The floor then has to stand well ventilated for 2 days to dry properly because the fumes and smell of the stuff is serious…
Yeah, send me some pics… I will have a good look!
OH, side note: One keeps the wood dust which gathers in the machine’s dust bag, to mix later with wood glue (koue lym) to make a thick paste, to fill any wood damage or holes… that mixture is better than ANY commercially available filler, because it is EXACTLY the same wood that you use to fill with!!
Try Jason Woodward, Canes!
Rebels 8 / 26 Hurricanes
Canes penalty… they will kick for touch, out 6m out!
Changing lanes.. penalty Rebels, they tap and kick out!
Lemoenetyd
2nd Half ON!
I should have picked the Canes by quite a bit more on Bru.
Canes penalty, would have been an easy shot at goal, but they kick for the corner for a 5m lineout.
Held up over the line, 5m Canes scrum.
Yellow Card to Sean McMahon… playing the ball on the ground…
5m penalty, Canes opt to scrum.
Canes almost over…
TMO asked to check for a deliberate knock.
Just a knock, no deliberate knock down by Stirzaker
Canes knock, Rebels scrum, they get their ball en Hodge kicks it out.
Rebels penalty, holding on…
Canes penalty, 8m out, against Hanson!
No score yet in the 2nd half
Try Ardie Savea, Canes!
Rebels 8 / 31 Hurricanes
Rebels penalty, in their own half.
Rebels penalty again, on their own 10m line…

Yeah, right BB!
Perdjie, I guess you are wrong with your Bru pick… hahaha
Rebels penalty, smack bang in front… but they need tries, not shots at goal.
Rebels now want to scrum.
Rebels scrum penalty, scrumming in by the replacement Canes tighthead prop!
Rebels scrum Free Kick, no stability in the scrum!
Canes are all about all-out attack… that is the game they play.
Rebels defensive penalty… kicked out near halfway
Try Beauden Barrett, when he puts the hammer down, he is super fast… there could not be a faster flyhalf in world rugby!!
Rebels 8 / 38 Hurricanes
